  8. I dont think you can do anything wrong with ferreting. Make sure ur netting the holes well enough and findin most of the bolt holes to net up aswell cos this will b a factor of loosing bolting rabbits wich makes u gutted even more. Rabbits are really stubborn aswell i have realised they will take some stick before bolting. Maybe your just out of luck at the moment. Try another spot that u know no1 could really find to ferret before you. GL FM

  11. Yea ule be fine. I keep 2 jills and a snipped hob together. the only time i have parted them is when it becomes this time of the year where there physced up for mating and the hob starts pulling hair out of them and biting them. But its perfectly normal. Good luck anyway FM
  12. Cant wait for the pups hehehe Itss soo exciting and i just cant hide it!!! FM
  13. The only thing i dnt like about feeding too much dry food is that it can bloat the ferrets out abit and make them fat. But i feed mine either wet or dry food. it doesnt really make any difference. Obviously if you catch some nice fresh game then feed them that. Always goes down well cheers FM

  18. Ye his dad said he is making him a hutch in work should be finished by next week but he said that last week. The hob that I'm giving to my friend is ok with other hobs but don't know about mine should I try them? It will only take five minutes to find out if they get on, just keep an eye on them and see how they go. 5 Mins!! Wow urs must b good ferrets.i cant put any of my hobs together now cos they just wrestle till the sun goes down so am having to keep swapping the jills about in this seperate hutch. ROLL ON AUGUST MAN!! ITS DOING MY BRAIN IN! LOL
  19. All im doing is trying to swap it. Wots the big deal with clones and all! Who would think of doing that anyway!! Cheers
  20. Nah am wanting a van lol. Enough dogs lol ta anyway
  21. Humm or maybe its got something do with the time of the year. I have just had to part my jill from the hob cos it's pulling all her fur out on her kneck and it doesnt look nice. So cos i aint got many hutches am taking it in turns for them. My other hob i had with a hod nearly chewed it ear off cos it the submissive male. I have 2 Alpha males and its a pain...ROLL ON AUGUST!! FM
  22. mine are doing the same. Grabbing the ears and that and doing that funny crocodile roll! My jills knecks are pretty sore looking but thats with the vesectamised hob. I will need to think bout seperating them soon FM
  23. sorry mate must be gutting for you! All the best FM
  24. Well it does seem like there is a few unhappy people out there with opinions to this? You even want to start working your ferrets!!? What will you do if the ferret bolts a rabbit and even worse lies up in the burrow due to killing a baby rabbit? Are you capable of dealing with the consequences of ferreting? All in all i think it very wise of you to be trying to overcome your fear but that aint a good start to owning a ferret when you are already scared of them you have to be really confident because when at a time like this when they are in season being bit due to splitting males up when
