    what you may have on paper don't mean nothing,, few weeks training get the certificates and people think that's it,,qualified etc ... the best pest controllers i know ain't no papers at all, they been at it decades some of them and laugh at the idea of certificates.i done a citb bricklaying apprenticeship when i was 16 to 19.got level 3 city and guilds out of it. few years back we had to do our nvqs test as told the guilds not recognised in Europe anymore,, the assess-er was an apprentice we trained,, he was a shit bricklayer never would have made it in the world of subcontract laying but he h

    If you no the answer why ask the question?? the answer to the question i started the thread with is its illegal to set a trap without a tunnel..i only questioned why when under water its only going to catch its target..

    the trap under water set is very unlikely to trap none targets. a cubby set on land would .we got loads of wild polecats here in wales,and there is a real danger of catching one in tunnel set up.while targeting mink, as all animals use river banks as a travel way.. the only thing an underwater set is going to catch is a mink, so i think tunnel over a trap set two foot down under water in not needed despite what the law says. my own risk assessment of a none target catch on land is to high to be be used in areas i trap.the under water set however don't even come in to the equation when it com

    think all us welsh lads started on the hills when we were kids,, all we got really with some low laying fields on the valley bottoms. bracken, white grass ans gorse,, rabbits aint many on the hils or is the fox , but may of us went up the ranks from rabbits to fox before the ban. the landsacpe is wild here i hunt the becons , a place where lurchers teasted to the full and 100%fitness needed by dogs and master. ive seen some good dogs on the hills ,, owned a few to and credit where its due it takes a good man and dog to carry out pest control on them.. ive seen dogs over the country hunt but

    once again the rules aint as straight forward as they can be,, if i set a body gripper under a foot of water,under a road ,bridge,, and one in a tunnel dug into bank with trap placed inch or two inside ,, what do you think would have the best chance of catching "" none targets " easy aint it ,,not hard to work out ,, time to rethink the law but done by people who knows what they talking about and the experience to pass on to others,,..

    who says tey cant be set under water ? and no there other thigs to catch other than trolls.. maybe you got trolls in scotland ? we aint here in wales . mind you irish got fairys and capricorns so hey !!!!.
