  2. think he felt the price of your traps were to expencive for what they are.thats what he said in the past to me.other than that he thinks they are a good compact sort of trap that works well.
  3. my mate had a few off steve and thought he was ripped off to be honest.he said they work well tho and easy to use.in fact he liked them so much he made his own lol.the jig was two days to make hour here hour there but his springs are better than albanos. made out of 3 mm tight spun line wire they work as good as his and only cost £2 to make.and belive it or not he can run one off in inder ten mins from start to finish so cant be that bad.jig only small to and can be made from scrap cut offs and only 10x 5 cm in size. first pic is my mates traps on the left of pic and steves on right.but the

  5. I don't think you can use locking snares for any animal in the uk. Not sure about the stops on fox snares though,i think they might be a legal requirment,to stop deer getting trapped in them, not sure though. thnks mr tea pot.why i asked is you cant class a rabbit snare as a relaxing snare-can you.or rat snares set up on benders.
  6. i know fox snares need to be the relaxing type but can you use locking snares for mink and squirrel legally in the uk. and are stops on fox snares a legal requirement.

  9. ive bee using hempfor twenty plus years now.tried the new poly ones and can honestley say they dont handle like hemp. always used five ply hemp and for speed of setting you cant beat it,you can throw it over the holes.down side or plus depends on how you look at it is hemp needs to be dried out after each trip.
  10. thanks salaclain.must say odd only to retrive from cover but want pick up on the run.would you say she's fast enougth to catch in day then.maybe a dog would be a bit taler.just think they would make good ferreting mouching type dogs.
  11. i remember the shooting news now the countryman's weekly as a weekly read for dog me.good articles then but more like a paper for the show crowds now. i also had the edrd mag for 11 years and also found that went down hill.not from the mags point but from the poor articles that went in it. we should be proud of our hunting activities before the ban,and myself don't see a problem with activities that went on prior. you can still write murder novels so why not write about hunting in its many forms.
