if we talking about the beach there are some nice flounder to be had there at the mo.school bass never realy go away from there to be honest but should be a few nice ones in the surf .bass ivealways done ok with a sand eell cast over the waves but flounder in the third wave and guess not in more than 4 foot of water.maddies or small rag good for them. can also fish off the ledges going out to the worm. good for dabs ,dogs and some late whitting this time of year.. not a good spin beach to be honest .we down the ledges tomox for a few hours, let you know how we gwet on... we dab bashing i hope

hi muff, you sure you talking about llangenith then,? the beach east of burry holm is known as such.maybe you talking about the estury? but thats a fair few miles in land.

-
hi lads ,anyone out there know of a strong bonned ex track bitch let me know.a lot of white in her would be a help, needed for fell hound grey cross.
-
i get by offten without bait.i use a few feathers maybe and some lure.lasts lot longer than bait to.
-
Took about 15mins Max from start to finish......... Bodygrips are fine in certain situations but i would be afraid the keepers dog would stick his snout in one at this location. By using the tube trap, the bit that bites is out of harms way nice set though, looks like its been there for a long time.
-
lot of work gone into that rolf.looks like the ground aint be dug atall .think myselfe i would stick with a pocket set dug in bank and a £6 body gripper
-
hard frost can also efeect the trap line traps.and it aint for the fact that they freeze up.like te duffers do.its the fact that they get cold.that all it takes.

wide trigger mole traps from Flatpack
logun replied to swanseajack's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
dont think a wide trigger should make any difference. the whole trigger on the duffus is wrong. going by tests ive been doing with the one i use i can honestley say i have not had a blocked trap yet. even set on the slow runs they still work fine -
to take as in take away ??.afox or someone who likes them for they breckfast id say
-
yes unblock the one end they need 2 c straight through the tunnel r u close 2 a river or brook they don,t need to see thru a tunnel at all, one entrance is ok if you using bait, try baiting with eggs if thats what they are taking as moley said.i think its more natural for a tunnel to have a blocked end.

A Comparison of Commercially Sold Leg-Hold Snares
logun replied to swamp thang's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
http://www.solwayfeeders.com/products/wcs-collarum-fox-live-capture-trap-p2805-c416.html It would appear that solway feeders are selling these illegally then?? Although the Collarum is not yet approved in Scotland there is nothing to stop them selling it as long as it was not used by there Scottish based customers. who was it now who made such a fuss over the leagality of my home made rat tube trap .as snare man said.the lock on the collarum snare aint leagle in the uk.same as the micro lock mink/squirrel sold on the pro trapper site -

Dont quote me on this, but i think the tube trap for the UK market isnt the same as the one used in the US. Probably a spring change or something. Import duties + shipping costs + some profit for bothering etc all adds up! If these traps are so unaffordable, why not ask "logun" to make you some for £2.99 each inc P+P el john with cost of steel at the mo the cost gone up to £3 now mate.but yes thats all it costs to make them and as good as ,if not better something that makes me smile though is that some dont like the fact that i can make the same type producy for peanuts.

beats me these prices, in the US you can buy wcs tube traps for $19 or about £15ish, over here they are £50, i know theres export and shipping charges , but bloody hell, they are expensive can also get good body grippers from the likes of fnt for a lot less than you can get here.even with the post and tax still work out a lost less.
