  1. dont think a fenn needs to be placed in an over hang of a rabbit hole,,they can be set in a tunnel .end of.
  2. would a fen or body grip set under water ,under a road bridge or culvert need a tunnel over it ? or does the above become a cover in itselfe ?,, there no rules saying how far tunnel top has to be from trap .
  3. hi danny ,, dont think ythere is any approved places whereyou can just go for few rabbits,, but sure if you ask the farms and land owners near to you something will come up..
  4. i aint designed the talpex ones lads ,,it for sale on the oppen market,, nothing to do with me just a better version than the talpex and the ones with the handles on top.just think these traps are far stronger and hell of a lot cheeper than the talpex and the talpirid types.
  5. duffers and talpex type traps work well. , there other traps out there who works bit better for me.. a talpex type that i think is fantastic,, better than the original talpex type and some of the American small type traps. they ok but goes to show how the yanks think!! bigger ain't always the better!?.any way my choice would be barrel type first off,second would be a trap i made and remade and remade again.. think its about ok now as far as humane goes and to suite us uk lads..
  6. hi stunt man,, looks like your mate got more chance of a rabbit than a cat with that set up,,maybe wrong tho as we dont get bob cats here . just a random sett i guess by the look of it,, good luck needed i think .
  7. don't think these courses are good idea myself,, there always be someone who profit on them.the dsc is a classic example ..certificates from this and that don't prove nothing either.if you ain't any idea about most country related sports then don't assume training will give you all the info you need,it want and as i said it is often dished out by people with little knowledge themselves;
  8. .feather in the ground ?? ..a part time mole catcher on her ,also in some mole trapping websites used to use feathers to mark his mole traps ????.. anyway he lost all the markers in Feb when crows nests built lol.. i use spray paint.the type for sports grounds etc.. but when u think how few rabbits here guess can be done with memory.. but i'm knocking on now so paint maybe.
  9. would have thought rabbits would have helped keep shetland as it is myselfe,, but maybe not
  10. lol there some bollocks talked about on here.. ,, entertaining tho
  11. must say john i trap and hunt thousdands of acres in brecon mid wales.. its up land mountain and more with no prey like ranbbits etc and very few shoots where vermin controlled.. every week i see sheep skind like this,, ansd you bet you life its done with in the hours of darkness,, fox every where here,ravens so common so are the kites,, with carrion crows and buzzards present to,, like i said the survive on fallen stock,, thats all they got to feed on in the beacons. so any falen sheep dont last long here.
  12. crows feed before proper lite,, crows did strip the ribs,
  13. so are you saying its ok to go out and break the law stubby,, you may think its ok to break the law,you just can't go and shoot them Ats will as you say but but saying so it may lead to people doing so,, funny how things come round ain't it mate,, lol not so long back there was a similar post about badgers,,,,,i said shoot them !!! As easy as and you tried to have a go at me for saying things that may incite others to carry out illegal doings ,in fact you were way above yourself that modship brings to some tossers on here., lol love it haha,, like i said what goes round comes round mr,,,, a
  14. ive had fox in platic 45 gallon drums i made into traps,, the ones i used stored beef flavour gravey from a big food mnufactureing plant,, you not need mesh traps to catch anything,and a cylinder type trap stronger to than the square weld mesh ones... the bear traps in the states look like large 45 gallon traps for nucence bear removal,, and trailer mounted to..solook into them and im dsure you will find tje trigger type you need etc
  15. its defo a cat maybe a lynx or puma lol ,,cats good at spewing up they food
