  1. Hi Ive heard plenty of stories about people, snaring salmon/Sea trout years back when decent numbers of fish use to be in our river Anyone else heard of this.
  2. Hi The river i fish (Ehen) in Cumbria is only small and doesnt have as many fish as there use to be. However, there is one or two salmon/sea trout which you hear about being caught. As it is only small and currently on flood i was wondering what are the best conditions to spin for them and which lures, are best. As i am desperate to catch one, having been out plenty of days, without success. Thanks
  3. Hi I currently have a GWP, she seems to be showing positive results with training and doesnt seem to be gun shy. What age do you think we should take her for her first run out, probably on crows/pigeons to start with wildfowling etc season ahead. Thanks
  4. I'm only a young hunter but i would definitely not be shooting at it with a shotgun as it might not kill it and you would be breaking the law if you let it get away badly injured. I would recomend purchasing a fox trap(box trap) and capture the fox in it. Bait it up with a bit of meat or something. Once you have caught it in the trap, put a thick leather glove on and grab it then break it's neck. It may take you a good few days or weeks to catch it. Regards, I thought that. I'm only 15 but i know a shotgun will certainly kill it, it wouldnt have much of a getaway with a loa
  5. My dad gave me that book a bit ago, an old one. I found it a brilliant read and i did notice it mention a TV series but looking around the internet etc i couldn't find anything.
  6. Hi After some consideration i think i may purchase a bipod for my ultra. Would anybody reccomend one, i dont want an expensive thing such as a Harris, just a small light one will do. Also, i have a sling which is designed to fit the long type swivels, not the studs, so should i purchase two of the longer swivels and place one stud at the top of the stock. Thanks
  7. Hi jackward, yes a mate of mine does it in shropshire, for small bownies so he can use them for live bait when he pike fishing they last for hours if you hook them right, 6 ins snoods coming off the long line, he only puts them in streams by were he lives, ive been out with him collecting these lines with great results, Have a go mate Hi What did he use as bait? 8. Wish there were some rabbits near me, i hear of large numbers up and down the country but you are lucky to see one up our way as so many people enjoy taking the lot rather than a couple.
