When we had the ferrets here mine used to look on in horror when you tossed it into the hutch lol.Taz will often follow us on a walk and like yours Moll he will play rough with the dogs.Hes abit of a git if heneeds a vet as he has to be sedated cos hes horrible there and the only birds he really does away with here and magpies seagulls and crows so not bothered too much.Hes rarely brought in any song birds and as i said nothing gets wasted someones ferret gets his kills.Hes a bonny looking cat Moll and hes doing his job what more could you ask for

Hot water just sets stains in i use a 60 degree or higher for the dogs beds and stuff just to make sure nothing survives on it.Modern soap powders work via the chemical or enzymes.Watched a programme about stain removal products on watchdog afew months ago and they catagorically proved theyre crap they dont do aything more or less than soap

Cold Ethyl replied to MissRhianL's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Flint was a mess and needed a good home and turned out to be an amazing dog in the end.Storm came fro a very good friend of mine ive always liked him and had a little soft spot for him and i knew him well he was reared with kids and knew fine he could do what was asked of him.So when he needed a home i nearly bit the guys hand off lol -
Storm could have cleared a field on that stuff lol.having said that he is like that with a few things eukanuba working dog was the same and with them living indoors something had to go lol
-
Thats cheaper than id have thought tbh will see if Andy can take me to tescos this week i used beta orking dog years ago and when storm first arrived but they stank on it lol
-
Will give that a go never really looked at like that before Storm will eat anything Flints not too bad and the terriers got me wrapped round her finger shes supposed to be on special vetinary food. She wont touch it though no matter what i add in to it she really genuinely hates it.So i fired her back on to arden grange senior cos she likes it and seems to work well for her. Then shes old and not working anymore so its no odds really.Where as this pair are never sat still for long just now so want to make sure they have the best i can provide for them even on a boring day we go out for miles and

Well theyre incontinent so they pee and shit on the move half the time so they could be causing problems. Not the kind of thing you would want wandering round were youhave pets animals or food of any sort really. My cat kills mice and voles all the time suits me cos i hate the feckers and the ferrets and other animals that eat them think theyre delicous

Must admit i like JWB seems to agree with just about any dog

I just feed mine "the bear necessities" Just thought of that and came on to put it up lol.Yeah will grab sardines tommorow and throw some of them into the mixcan they get salmon as well.I got a few tins of it sitting here and i dont like it neither do the kids really
-
Thats one good thing about the local butcher he gives me some excellent bones still with a good bit of meat on and huge he keeps the smaller ones for the terrier lol. They get tuna but havent tried sardines lately they get pasta as well and rice and they ocasionally get lambs milk when i can get it
-
I agree with simon stick with the basics for now and let her be a pup once shes a bit older you can move on a bit she looks a belter though
-
The butcher wont do it all the time he does when its the younger lad give me loads of stuff bits of fish etc and a pig heads lmao was like something out of a horror film out the back cutting it with an axe.He will give me trotters offal tripe occasionally and other odds and ends but Storm eats a lot Flint not so bad but hes a big lad (40kg)So he needs a fari amount of food. What veg do you give i wont give brocolli now a friends dog took really ill and went blind and vet said itwas to do with too much brocolli in their diet scared me witless.I give swede and carrot and thats about it and not al

Lovely dogs look very happy indeeed.I love the blue one but them ive a soft spot for greys and blues.
-
I wanted to do it cos they do seem to thoroughly enjoy it if i get lamb spines or turkey wings they dont stop for air till theyre finished and theyre content plus like dogs should they have to work at it.They love lamb breast as well and a firm fav is minced chicken carcuss that a very good friend gets for them and they love it whole rabbits justskinned and gutted works a treat and they will eat biscuits if thats what i give them i just mix it in
-
Sorry ideation i was worried they said cos the digest at differant rates it cause gut problems.Mine have been fine for months like this and the only reason Storm took ill was he was raiding the bin and eating things he cant have like cheese.Seems to go right through were as Flint eats it no bother at all.I shove there biscuit through it to make sure they eat everything without picking through and its good food not cheap stuff either at £50 for 15 kg.Seems to keep Storm a little calmer as well and theyre both shining like a new pin and seem t be thriving on it.Im a worrier though i want to fe

One of mine Taz doesnt play with them he rags his like a terrier lol.Hes got plenty mice to choose from here as well he brought me a half dead squirell once and let it go and dogs were trashing the place to get it.Most of the stuff he catches gets frozen and given to a ferret owner lol.Nothing goes to waste my mates snake likes the mice as well he even gives them to his piranahs and arrowana

Been informed today that i feed my dogs wrong.I give mine raw minced chicken carcuss and lamb breast and other bits and bobs and a handful or two of james wellbeloved kibble just now cos big lad was a bit ill for short time.Im now told that i shouldnt d it that way as it will damage the dogs gut any ideas
