  8. i agree that the way he breeds is not ideal and that handlers are often to blame but the handlers expectations are often way wrong..a collie x is a collie x in the main theyr'e not meant for whins open big land or as single handed fen dogs but if your into lamping rough pasture or ferreting woodland etc they do take some beating

  10. it would appear so it's just that we don't hunt foxes (pre ban of course) in telephone boxes, but maybe thats how we can't catch them.... just out of curiosity working in the fields what were you doing? pulling turnips......digging tatties?

  13. i think the main difference is that with collie / greyhound x's you get much more variety of type and attitude ie smaller collie types, big racy etc and ones that want to herd, some with the guard mentality some with a strong hunting instinct etc. it seems the minhsaw type has been bred from the best of every generation where the best most desired traits have been strengthened, no doubt theres been bits of other things along the way with bull beddy and saluki in there. also how many collie x guys genuinely put as much gear in front of their dogs? these guy's have been out doing it for generati
  14. long time ago (way pre ban ) i knew one owned by a copper that could take hares, very smart dogs that do i believe have greyhound in their make up anyway, getting a good sound one would be the biggest problem i think

  19. theres a lot of rubbish and different opinions on this and the subject has been done many times but the truth is it doesn't matter about strike, stamina, pace, feet, intelligence or anything else for that matter if the dog isn't people orientated and want to please you your on a loser from the word go
  20. accidents can happen .....hey ho.....but to then try and profit from it thats when it's not right .....imo on every level, for the sake of the pups, the bitch and the buyers just wrong......it all just leaves me with one question....does kc really stand for.......kerr ching
