i think the wee dog looks a belter ! in my experience some dogs are born with natural talents and abilities and the good dogs are the ones that get the practice and experience of being out there doing their job, if your as keen as you sound in a year or two this wee dog will have learned loads and be a cracking wee ferreting hound atb
-
well done again guy's, the pic is immense :clapper: i would be showing it to landowners keepers and the like you'll get all the permission you ever want with that as proof of you and the dogs' abilities, when i'm breathing out my arse carrying 20 back to the car i'm going to get a second wind thinking about that pic

they wouldn't know a real hunter / dogman if they hit them on the head.....but i know a few guy's who would like to test that theory

did they bring back all the rabbits or sell them therem? because would have loved to see them on the boat coming ,that would turn few eyes . very superstitious up there mate, mention the word rabbit and some locals wouldn't sail, but hundreds of the feckers would cause nervous breakdowns

i was tempted, really tempted with starting, crazy fool, hey sucker, quit your jibber jabber, get some nuts or pity the fool but i refrained
-
hes just a pup he'll learn (with practice) lamp off - heel, take your time just now it'll pay off long term, when it's not weather for the real thing i'm a real fan of the dummy / toy / dead rabbit in the park with a lamp or torch, no distractions, but be consistent with him, always lamp off - heel / recall reward....lamp on chase / fun / retrieve....lamp off- heel / recall reward i'm sure he'll get there keep us posted
-
scumbags, like i posted on another topic recently we've got to get our own house in order, every decent hunting guy in this vicinity will be tarred by this brush somebody on here will know these lowlifes.......name and shame
-
smart bitch like her attitude towards caught rabbits enjoyed the clip some nice catches, interesting breeding hope the pups are all you want just a wee question though.......why is one guy dressed in summer order shirt sleeves etc and the other is wrapped up for an artic blast is it just an age thing ?
-
it's not the graft or fitness thats impressive for me,nor even the commitment of the guys but how many dogs would jack just retrieving a hundred dead bunnies never mind catching them 1st ? dog must have the mental attitude and the heart as well as wind and muscles :clapper:
-
my thoughts, how can we hope to repeal the ban or even start to sway politicians etc if we cant keep our own house in order, and i think it only needs one numpty here, 1 in ayrshire, 1 in lincolnshire or wherever and we're all fcked
-
i've been pulled more in the last month than in nearly 40yrs and on one permission the farmer informs me that dead deer have been found on a couple of occasions no attempt to hide them just left lying, the other a golfcourse and the adjoining farm complaints were made by golfers that daylight coursers were witnessed throwing dead hares to the side, i'm not being high and mighty saying i have never crossed an occasional boundary but some guy's are making it easy for the anti's and old bill to tar us all with the same brush

i've seen decents bags but nothing like the ton, i have no doubt it could be done, there are some nights a decent dog picking up squatters makes it seem more like harvesting than hunting, it would be hard graft on both sides but definately do able.....but for that huge task what size memory card for the camcorder?
