  1. My old Kesh would eat them when he caught them, even if they were still alive....mind he was a dirty b*****d
  2. Oh these threds just keep on bouncing up, same 'ol story, got nothing else to blow hot air about?? I'm sure some on here, have this dogs of this type that do have the right temperiment and working ability aplenty and do not use them just as point and slip dogs!!! Before you decry a certain 'lurcher type' look at a decent one in the field, see what it can do. The multitude of different crosses today all bring sommat different to the table and if they were that poor wouldn't have made it thus far in this fickle game. As for running certain quarry, what the feck has it got to do
  3. Cheers Jacko I've got a few books in line before it but I'll let you know what it's like
  4. No I didn't realise I had it
  5. Just found a copy of this book by Robin Page in my garage and it seems I was bought it for my wedding some years ago. Anyone read it? Any good?
  6. WELL HOW DID THE POLICE HAVE ASSESS TO MY PMS IN AND OUT OF CERTAIN PEOPLE AND PHOTOS SUPPOSE HE HUNTED WITH YOU IN AUSTRALIA I really do not understand what is going on here BUT if the police have reason to watch you then of course they can access your computer and every message/email that you have ever recieved and sent, nothing is safe, EVERYTHING can be accessed. Spot on. I was always told on the bull terrier boards never to put anything in pm's that I didn't want anyone else to see. Seen a few other hoist by their own petard
  7. Don't know Mark. Maybe one of your mates grassed you up. All I know is we cannot access pm's. Australia? No. England.
  8. Met WILF and hunted with him too, a number of times. Don't know why old WILF gets dragged into this as he's not even a moderator. Speaking for the other mods, we do not have access to people's pms.
  9. 3 in 40 mins with a 16" bull cross. Hunted up, caught, killed single handed
  10. Give over...I've got luscious hair me....it's just on me back and not me head these days I remember when you watched the ER video Cupid...you said you didn't realise it was me cos the bloke looked thin Cheeky b*****d
  11. First of all, please forgive me if I can't get my thoughts across in a soundbite kind of way... I've been sat here wondering about specific breeding goals and the resultant testing of dogs in the pursuit of those said goals. If, for arguments sake, you had the intention of breeding some 3/4 whippet 1/4 bulls as I did a few years ago, would you bother to test the first generation cross (half bull - half whippet) knowing that the actual purpose of the cross was one generation away? Let's say you had a good bull and a good whippet (this could work equally as well for a collie and a gr
  12. Hard going sometimes isn't it?
  13. Torn apart I'm starting to worry about you Countryboyo
  14. Easier to express it like this: 12/32 Wheaten (3/8 wheaten) 15/32 Grey (so just under half greyhound) 5/32 Bull (so just over 1/8 bull)

    BOOK

I think you're missing the point....it's not a "book" so shouldn't be measured on how substantial it is. And Badger Digging was brought out when the world was against us, a small but significant voice of reason standing up and telling the world how it really is rather than how the media portrayed us. One man who not only had the position to be able to do something but also the balls to do it too. Viewed in it's proper context, a very important book. The author readily admits it's not his best work and it's all too easy to view it 25 years later without knowing the full circumstances about

    BOOK

I don't think it's supposed to be a "book" Artic...more like a periodical along the lines of the Working Terrier Yearbooks and the sister publication to NTWICTW I agree about the bolting rabbit shot....the one with the two lurchers descending on the fox aint' bad either

    BOOK

Just got my copy through today and there are some exceptional photos in there. Absolutely top quality
  19. It is some of Darcy's best writing to date in my opinion. A great tribute from a bloke who got out and tested his dog, with conventional and some not quite so conventional quarry. You can tell he thought the world of the dog and this is a fitting tribute to him. I can't wait to get my copy through and see the pics.
  20. Greyhound for stamina? Gundogs are a popular cross for pigs here but it's generally pointers of some sort. I think Kiwi runs Boxer x Labs on pigs....if my memory serves me right.
  21. I never knew John Travolta had a hawk
