Billy was a bulldog x bull and terrier but is widely regarded as "one" of the fathers of the breed. He certainly wasn't a Manchester.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to that nonsense mate. Just club folk trying to lend credence to their types from association with famous working dogs.
Billy was white for a start
If any of you have an interest in the creation of the Bull Terrier then "Master Craftsman" by Kevin Kane, which is a biography of James Hinks, is a must read.
The lad in the foreground is currently running 73lb fit and doesn't have too much problem getting up behind a hare. Hares aren't his thing though but we do take a few when the mood takes us. We're overrun with them here.
It's been banned in a part of Spain where it wasn't popular anyway as it's seen as a "Spanish" pursuit and the Catalonians don't see themselves as Spanish. No big deal. I can't see it happening in Spanish Spain.
u saying pure bred whippet has a bettet coat than a beddlington get a f*****g life next thing ul b saying they have more stamina
No I'm saying a smooth coat is better than an open linty coat you f*****g imbecile. Anyhow, most 'purebred' (as you put it) Bedlingtons have shit coats as it is. Learn to read & spell before trying to put your point across
Got to agree with you there CJ....seen some shocking linty jackets on beddy crosses. Can't remember who it was on here thouhg, but I saw a pic of their beddy cross and the jacket looked good...best I'd seen.
Had a good day out with a Plummer lurcher a few years ago now.
Grand old bitch who was knocking on 14 I think. She'd been kept as a fox dog until she gave up the game at 6 and she was some tool for the ferreting game
Thanks Stewie, they suited me those little dogs and I had years of fun raking around with them. Funnily enough, I found myself writing about them again only a couple of weeks ago. They weren't to everyone's taste, but by shite, we enjoyed ourselves!
That's pretty much what I feed, minus the fruit. Lots of lamb in the winter months and beef in the summer months due to the respective fat content. Chicken frames I find are excellent.
