  1. You've got the wrong lad mate. You are on about Hawkaholic NOT Hawkeye.
  2. Excellent work mate! Bitch looks like she knows the job!
  3. I like collie crosses, but then again I would. My favourite field sport is ferreting and I've been lucky enough to see some really good dogs working at this game. I don't have the rabbit numbers that some folk off here have but there's nothing better than seeing my dog "hunt" them up and although bags are small (very small ) I love the craic. Just to stand and watch a dog hunt is enough for me and it amazes me to watch them use their senses to pick up their quarry. Obviously this isn't limited to only collie crosses, and I suppose a lot of it's down to how you bring a dog on, but a nose seem

Me and my big mouth! The old silver fella died in his sleep over the weekend. He's now buried close to his court and he went with full military honours! He was a good old boy. I think it was those young jills that did for him! What a way to go!
  5. Reminds me of the old adage of testing the dog to it's limits, leaving it down whether it wins, loses or draws and if it dies dead game, you then breed from it's brother.
  6. You're right about them hunting up mate! :11:
  7. My old dog gets conjunctivitis every summer and that's green gunk in the corners of his eyes and if unchecked, his entire eye gets milky and shitty. If your dogs has got this, then chances are it's always going to have it and it spreads so watch your other dogs. Get along to your vet and get some Tiacil and put one drop (terrier) three times a day in each eye. It'll clear up in no time. Watch for bushing dogs though as they often get seeds in their eyes which creates the gunk as it clears the debris.
  8. F*ck.....hope Vim doesn't see this! :11: :11:

  11. That's my old bush hat from when I was in 'Nam :11: What is this? Pick on Stabs day? I was too young for the flowerpot men Keeps, bet you remember them though
  12. Peg.....mine is a 686 Special too mate. I don't find it heavy at all. Mind you when you are as big and tall as me and Millet :11: it's not a problem
  13. Boobs? Boobs? Don't forget I've got pics of you swimming you little bender :11: You'd make Maria Whittaker jealous! :11: :11: Anyway, those are pecs
  14. I got my first shotgun in February of this year due to the ban. I asked a few lads who know what they are on about and I'd decided on a Browning or Beretta so I went down the gun shop and got myself a 686 Special like what pegandgun had. Now I know nothing about shotguns but after walking around for years with a TX200, this 686 feels about as heavy as a badmington racket and it's lovely to shoot with. I am going to buy myself a cheapo job in the next few weeks just for hammering away at the pigeons so I suppose I'll be in a better position to make a judgement then.
  15. Had a black terrier with a leg like that Hawky. Nothing physically wrong as far as I could tell and the vet reckoned it was a muscle sprain. Don't know if it would have cleared up though because Nell killed her.
  16. Had a hob go like that Chilli - just went nuts one day and wanted to kill everything. My old bulldog was terrified of him :11:
  17. I was fearing a blank too Jordan, but the dog was telling there was something in there and once I'd changed the ferret to a keen one, I got the face saving solitary coney
  18. Nice going. I only got one my first day out
  19. My lurcher is the same mate. I have to keep her in the motor when I am shooting the geese or else she upsets Nell's retrieving
