  1. Don't be ridiculous......this is a swan behind these two squirrels
  2. Trick of the light I'm telling you Could have been a Turtle Dove :11:
  3. Trick of the light Peg....that was a collard
  4. This one was a F*cker for rabbiting, but then again, he never did like the dark very much As long as you know the ground and have control of your terriers to a reasonable extent then I've never seen a problem. If you know there are earths there and you don't want any accidents then it's entirely in your control. It's those new earths that appear overnight that are the problem
  5. I agree, nice looking animal. Watch it going to ground at such a young age though. Don't want it getting a pasting.
  6. I must admit that I find less flatulence with raw (Avoid too much cabbage :11: ) compared to complete. Less shite too, and what there is of it doesn't smell anywhere near as much as dogs fed on complete.

  9. 16" bitch around 26lb and not even Rob Reynolds could ever hope to span her :11: As Peter says, forget the measurement and the spanning and all that shit. If they can get on, then they will. You never know until you try.
  10. Stuka! :11: Seems like most of your dogs should be called that Lucky :11:
  11. All mine hunt up and if I'm honest, then that's what I most enjoy watching. I love seeing a dog work in cover or in the woods. I must be lucky though, as I've never dug to a rabbit Having said that, her obedience is spot on
  12. No lessons mate, just 500 cartridges worth of practice in the field I'm not too bad now like and I've almost been convinced that the barrels on that gun aren't bent :11: but I'm sure they are at times As for the rest, my man (BP) came down and he reckons we are laughing but who knows mate. Could be a different story when the shit hits the fan. It's a waiting game now though, so as soon as I hear anything I'll let you know mate. Grouty
  13. There was not many shots on yesterday to be honest, despite the number of birds about. Most of the birds were dropping out of high hedges and flying away at head height which meant I couldn't take the shot as there's no telling what was behind the hedges. I nearly killed the old dog with the second goose though as it came to ground like a f*****g meteor! :11: He just got out of the way :11: :11: :11:
  14. I know the lady who won best of breed (GSP) at this years crufts and she works her dogs. I don't think she puts any graft into her dogs until they are about 9 months old.
  15. What are the instances of the beddy crosses yapping? Of the few I've seen run all of them have opened up to some extent. Is this a common thing with this cross? or have I just been unfortunate to see only yappers?
  16. Looking good Mike. Keep the pics of her coming so I can see how she grows. She's 7/16 bull 9/16 grey by the way
  17. Is that what that thing is? I've always wondered what one of those looked like
  18. Nice one Lager Boy I see you've got a Jay in there too. One thing I've never shot.
  19. Excellent pics as usual fellas Your poor families must be pig sick of eating rabbits :11:
  20. Went out for a walk with the shotty this morning and managed a few birds This one arrived back missing it's back end A collards indifference to me was it's undoing, although it got stuck in a conifer on it's way down It did eventually make it to the bottom though Another woody. My attempt at an arty shot failed miserably on the stubble as you can't even see the f*****g pigeon Five Canadas flew over as I was on the way back to the motor. Only three made it away though. And finally this woody on another bit of stubble

Obviously I wouldn't be best pleased, but how are the parents of the pup doing? Are they working well? I would give most consideration to the standard of graft the parents are putting in before even thinking about the grand dam and grand sire. That's if I was buying a pup without thinking of bloodlines that is. I know you think you've got one thing when in fact you've got something totally different, but if the parents are working then at least that might be some consolation to you. I know how important bloodlines are so I just hope that this pup comes good for you if you decide to keep it.
  22. You were in the distance mate and I was trying to prise a can of Fosters from Fellman's lips as it had taken root there :11: Nah seriously Mike came over when I'd just got up on the Sunday morning and I had a good look at his dog. Lovely animal it was and very calm with it too. I would never have said it was a half cross though cos as well as being racey, it was one hell of a big bugger too. Very nice type indeed. Looks like it's doing the business from those pics too. You and your pal walked past when I was watching the terrier judging, but I didn't realise it was you at first, as it was
  23. Looking good DC.....Saw you and a few from that litter at the Midland. Very typey. As you say, very racey for a half cross. I'm convinced there's some bull in Mike's one Tell your missus that's she's better at taking pics than I am
