  1. Is that Rocky back over your way Kye? Glad to hear your dogs are doing well. It must be that work I put into them that's paying off :11:
  2. I have her on a raw diet mate and with her being a fussy eater she basically got as much as she wanted. I'd got used to her having the appetite of a sparrow and I didn't notice that she'd been eating a bit more than usual and she'd got a touch heavy. I cut back on the grub a bit and took her out for a few runs with me and she was much better second time around.
  3. Pharaoh Hound cross bull? :11: Cracking pictures big fella.
  4. I need one of those big Kelpie crosses to guard me :11:
  5. Went out last week for the first shine of the season and had a 'mare! I told a few lads off here about it and me and the young lass missed every single run we had! I put it down to too much grub and not enough exercise. Anyway, with that disaster in mind I put some running into the girl and had a look at the grub intake and we were back out tonight, 6 days after the initial foray. The conditions were better last week but we did get a few runs The little bitch did really well and the difference between tonight and last week was considerable. I was really chuffed with her performanc
  6. I know exactly what you mean mate. I've picked a few up over the years and thought they'd been 20lb plus only to weigh them and find them way short. I have had a 20lb+ dog fox but that was a few years back. Even with that one on Sunday I picked it up and thought it was a definite 20 odd animal. Just goes to show how bad my judgement is As for you Darcy....you'll keep :11:
  7. I'm sitting here with a massive grin on my face mate! That's excellent news! I bet you're one happy Welsh man!
  8. Went out his morning for a bit of a shoot and I have to say the going was slow. I had spent about 3 hours and had shot f**k all. I was boring myself and decided to have a slow walk back to the motor. A couple of things presented themselves..... I got back to the motor with no real action and as I was driving off the property I nearly had a cornary! Running towards me was what looked like a really healthy fox being chased by a mangey but big fox. The mangey f****r stopped and ran off, but the healthy one kept going and ran past me. I followed in the Land Rover and the fox jumped i
  9. but why hang them if they've ran well?
  10. What the f*ck is that all about??
  11. Taff......is that to gain the benefit of the whippet? or merely to add more running dog blood to what can sometimes be a heavy cross?
  12. They're Spanish Greyhounds aren't they? Come in smooth and broken coated versions. http://www.thebreedsofdogs.com/GALGO_ESPANOL.htm
  13. Look!......no bollocks! :11: Cracking little worker this old lad. He's been a Trojan over the years. Wish he had his balls though as it's horrible knowing you'll never get anything off him. He's still a randy b*****d too and he's the barometer for when we know the bitch is ripe! Once he gets a tie with her, we know it's all systems go!
  14. :11: Mike and his giant dogs! :11:
  15. Which ones Craggy? The Pro Boots? They are the Army's cold and wet weather patrol boot and have done me right in the woods, in the snow in Austria, the outback of Oz and lasted a long old time. Never worn them in the dales though. What I wear at present is the Matterhorn Orion and they are the bollocks! Wore them in the Nevada desert and the rocks stripped the leather off completely yet they are still waterproof and warm as you like. They have that climate control "stuff" which means you don't get a sweat on should you be in say a desert. I've had them years and they've done some serious milea
  16. Looking very nice mate! If your feeding her the same as you fed that Kelpie cross off Dave then she's going to clear 30 inches! How's that Kelpie get on with her?
  17. They're the "new" ones Jack. Get the old ones if you can as they are miles and away better. http://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/military/index.htm click on footwear and then "issue" and they are third ones down. Blinding boot they are.
  18. Stabs

    few pics

Excellent pics lads! and a good haul by the looks of things too!
  19. That's not a bad boot. It's never going to keep you warm though. I've got the full leather insulated version and it's MILES better. For the money, get yourself a pair of Pro-Boots and they are the real deal. Mind you don't get the "new" pro-boots though
  20. Out on the geese again...... Back out for the next one and the money shot
