    they dont like the feathers much, stick a pigeon in an old stocking and give him a retrieve, do it a couple of times placing the bird in the same spot and then if succesful take the pigeon out of the stocking, and give him the retrieve as soon as he picks the bird up give him loads of encouragement to come back to you.... then leave it for that day hopefully it wont be long before the dog picks up the fresh bird immed keep us updated

    The GWA shoot from Lydney and Oldbury upwards which isnt to far from you...takes me approx 40 mins to get to both from Hanham Bidgewater Bay is free but you need to know your waters down there. Cheers

    My mums cat use to hunt these when we had a caravan at Berrow....always bringing the things in at night

    yep wilkinson ones for me also and i cut the ends into points to go into the ground better also use netting from the army surplus shop

    I use half shell type decoys and my mate uses the sillsocks...i think the sillsocks maybe better but i have still had some good shooting on the shells I set mine up in a U Horseshoe type pattern facing into the wind...but any sudden movement will scare them off.. also any down pigeon which is belly up will do the same, Are you sure they were not seeing you moving in the hide

    Just to say high I do some Pigeon and crow shooting and looking for some ground with some bunnies now. Looking at getting a better air riffle for the bunnies very very shortly Guns i have a Escort Semi for Pigeons and wildfowling and a SP3 for Clays GOt a couple of Springers which keep me busy and im down in Bristol Cheers Ian
