  1. Yep bought tickets...one of my daughters lives in Manchester so I'm up there a few times a year...taking my future son-in-law...we will be having a few pints in the Peveril of the peaks if you fancy talking boxing face to face
  2. If these 2 fought in my garden id shut the f****n curtains...people spunking £20 to watch this pantomime want their heads looking at!
  3. You close to ohara ? Tell him too smash Taylor and that's coming from a Scotsman. Likeable character as you say
  4. Truth be told Ortiz is probably as old as Wvlad...but i still think the hard hitting cuban southpaw gives Joshua problems...the fight im looking forward to at heavyweight is Parker-v-Fury...Parkers not looked great in his last couple and Hughie's not really impressed me yet...hope Septembers fight will bring the best out in both of them...got tickets so hope Hughies not a no show...as for Wvlad...brilliant career but one of the most boring long reigning Champs in the division in my opinion...last fight was a good'un tho
  5. Handsome little tykes landed on his feet there...good times ahead for sure...had a few of them types myself over the years...currently find my self at the other end of the cycle of life so to speak...lost a good'un last November leaving me with just my little ol bitch shes 12 now...they cut cancer out her jaw in Feb said shed do well to last the summer...but shes still going strong right now... tough as old boots!...hope you enjoy your time with yours...as much as I enjoyed my time with mine...goes by too quick...but you don't need me to tell you that...all the best with the youngster!
  6. And while im on it ha ha...am i the only one that dont hate the Mcguigan's??...think Barrys been good for boxing...not just as a fighter but even as a pundit and writer and now in management...good to see a family/father&son run team...not saying they perfect but seems folk prefer a spoilt richkid son of a snooker promotor than a traditional boxing family...or thats how it often comes across...like the way they have Barrys old mate Jimmy Tibbs working the corner on the big fights so shanes always got a wise old head in the corner...like i said not perfect shanes still got a lot to learn...
  7. f**k that was quick rusty!!....thought it was you that said you didn't like Taylor and you couldn't take to him? my mistake must of been someone else eh? personally I don't think he will 'destroy' Burns and no doubt he will get himself a real world ranked fight...but pretty impressive for 10-0 yep some prospects indeed that Yarde is massive for a light heavy!...good times for British boxing
  8. Nah that calling out burns is very disrespectful. Ricky is the best fighter scotland will ever have no point tryin to take a scalp off him when he's at the end of his career100per cent agree especially when the fellas doing commentary on his fight and calling him on live tv like that ,but mc guigans ben talking balls for a couple of months now about taylor v burns trying to get a reaction ,suppose if both camps can keep it civil and the pound signs add up then ya never know, do agree burns is over the hill but nice da see the lad get another good pay day tho I'd like to see him fight crolla ma
  9. The 18st is from his comeback when he had been on the cheese burgers for years and was a old man but was still capable.not a good advert for the George Foreman grill then really, A shame them grills wernt as strong as big George...the coating wore off the plates on mine in weeks! Micheal Moorer's trainer Teddy Atlas said he knew they was in trouble when Foreman ran to the ring wearing the same old faded red trunks hed worn when he lost to Ali...he said wernt a man running from his ghosts but a man facing down his demons...Foreman hit Moorer so hard he split his gumshield in two...no ones g
  10. So george foreman at 6ft 3 18 stone would not be big enough. In my opinion someone like him would go through the current crop of heavyweights no trouble.I think the relatively smaller Joe Frazier could take most of them - another fearsome puncher ! Mind you, the late Jerry Quarry could give out a good dig, too..... As for Big George, he's an old man now, but I still would want him to him me twice ! Jerry Quarry one deep game individual...may he R.I.P...George Chuvalo was one tough f****r too...they may of played second fiddle to the likes of Ali and Frazier during one of the grea
  11. Set the old Betamax to record this... was gonna watch it in a bit...took the shine off now I know the result Good win for Matty Askin last night
  12. Used it years back on the dogs...didn't see any benefits from it...old wives tales if you ask me...but not bad on ya chips
  13. Galway farmer by show of hands...thats a cracking song
  14. Don't bother to watch these sorta videos...have no interest in what boxers do outside the ring so to speak...I also don't expect fighters to be saints and role models...in the ring though Fury is undefeated...won English title, British&common wealth, European titles and took World titles off a long reigning Champ who hadn't lost for years...opened the door to a new era of Heavyweight boxing (and won me a few quid along the way)...I don't see what all the hate is about really...seriously hope he can put all his troubles behind him and they can get the Joshua fight on
  15. Dont look good do it!?...like the blokes doing a poor impression rather than proper acting...film out i think this weekend called 'Jawbone' looks good
  16. Great fight...had it a draw...Degale winning first 3 rounds and 9 to 11 and Jack winning 4 to 8 and 12...would be good to see a re-match over here...but Jack and Mayweather didn't seem up for that...(but made a change to paying through the nose for Hearns Pay Per View miss-matches)...looking forward to the Frampton-v-Santa Cruz rematch next weekend
  17. As the old saying goes...pussy will pull you further than the father in law can punch you...or something like that
  18. Any reviews for 'Old country blood' yet lads?...might be interested in a copy...how much book would we be getting for £35 Lusitano?? how many pages pics ect??
  19. Hard to pick a best boxer of the year...but more than happy to see Frampton get it...hes certainly earned it often felt like he didnt get the credit he deserverd...the Leo Santa Cruz fight was one of my favourites of the year...looking forward to the rematch...probably my favourite fight of the year was another Belfast lad...Jamie Conlan-v-Anthony Nelson
  20. Yeah the undercard was decent...but what i am saying is they are the sort of fights they where already giving us as part of our sky subscription...so they charging us twice so to speak with these stacked out PPVs...noticed a lot of lads stream fights on here...not saying thats right or wrong...just come round to thinking the more i keep paying...the more they will keep pulling my pants down
  21. But you didn't pay...do you normally subscribe to skysports if you don't mind me asking?...I subscribe to boxnation and skysports so I don't begrudge paying to watch boxing...always happy to pay PPV for the big fights...but Joshua-v-Molina not a big fight by any stretch of the imagination...cant help but feel we letting take the piss by paying PPV for these missmatches
  22. Well that's 1...I usually do mate but not this time...main fight a total joke imo...Whyte-v-Chisora and Buglioni-v-Burton are the sort of fights SKY would show for free on a Friday night...don't mind paying but cant help feel sky taking the piss now
  23. What ever Hearn paid Whyte & Chisora he ought to double it...had Chisora winning that by 2 rounds...a draw/rematch would of been a fair outcome...cracking fight either way maybe best British Heavyweight title fight since Williams-v-Potter...Buglioni-v-Burton too saved the card from being a farce...all those saying how pay per view worthy it was...how many actually paid??!
