    Hi im thinking of starting bush beating with my jrt but i know nothing about it! So imjust after some advice please. He is quite well behaved untill he gets after a rabbit/rat then he goes deaf! Will this be a big problem? Anyway if you could give some advice id be greatfull Cheers Rob

    My dog is 11 months old and he is good with commands, but this last week or so he just will not listen. All i use him for is a bit of rabbiting and rats at the horses and a few farm buildings. He drops on command but when i want to leave he just wont have any of it and now on walks with all the baby rabbits about all he wants to do is dig and as much as i dont mind its when i want to leave and he is in a load of brambles miles from home and wont frigging come out, thats when its a pain in the arse! All i want is for him to do what i say when i say. My question is is there anything i can

    Mine is back from his injury today so ill take him for a bit of ratting next weekend and post some pics up

    Im on mine now he is only ten months old a little jack russell. the reason ive got into ratting is because thats whats he is for so i thought id give it a go and he loves it so why not make him happy?

    I know one thats very fast think she might be cross with a staffy but she looks like a whippet no fat and all muscle, im always suprised by how quick she can run when we go out

    Ive been to get some tcp today but its looking good as it is. The salt water seems to have worked but ill tcp it for a few days aswell. then might leave it to itself after the weekend

    Im just new to all this thats all, trying to learn as much as i can. Ive spent all night reading through this site. He is my best mate aswell as my dog!! Ive got into it mainly for him as he loves it so much, im just trying to learn so i can do the right thing for him. So far we have had a couple of rabbits and a fair few rats but this was his first bite and i just wanted to make sure i was doing right

    No other dogs just me and my gf!! Should i worry or is it unlikely he will catch anything? Should i take him to the vets? Is there a jab for workiong dogs to protect against rats? he has only had the standard dog jabs at 12 weeks old

    He cant clean it himself its just under his chin will this matter? I just want to do the right thing its my first terrier and first rat bite to deal with. Oh and if your wondering the rat got what for and so did a few others afterwards

    Hello all Im Rob and i have a little jack called Norman. yesterday he got bitten by a rat and i was just wondering if he can catch anything from a rat bite? Ive been washing it in salt water and its not too swollen but im just after a bit of advice. I knew it would happen eventually but didnt look into it until it actually happened. Anyway thanks in advance Rob and Norman
