  1. Cheers Shay. Yeh i had a good bit of fun tonight, was gutted when it started getting dark lol My sentiments exactly, another true Markman in the making Phantom Lol cheers lads Hopefully i'll be able to produce results in the field with it soon enough!
  2. Cheers Phantom To be honest it was kind of up and down, good group, bad group, good group and so on but the last one was the best so heres hoping it will continue!
  3. Well i took the TX200HC out to the back garden today to shoot some targets and see how bad i was at shooting a springer. After zeroing the gun and putting a good few pellets through to get the feel of it, this is the kind of groups i was getting So i spent a good while practicing, groups started to get smaller but at times also getting bigger, just down to me not having shot a springer in about 6 months Anyway this is the final grouping i got before i packed in. Not too bad a grouping, and can be covered with a 2p So all in all im very happy with the TX and cant
  4. Lol yup was quick indeed. Yeh i'll put some pics up of my results, maybe not tomorrow though, not expecting great results from my first time shooting a springer in nearly 6 months!!
  5. Yeh im really really looking forward to shooting it, im like a kid with a new toy you all know the feeling
  6. Nice write up Phanton, SPA. Its funny what you see when shooting somethings. Twice now when ive been in my back garden permission and seen a woodpecker. And in the woods i normally see a black bird that is totally bald in the head, looks like a mini vulture lol John
  7. Well people, i have 'done a Shay' and bought a new gun on a spur of the moment type thing. I had mentioned on a thread the other day i had decided i wanted a TX200HC .177. Well i was having a look about forums last night and seen someone selling a MK2 45 mins from me for a good price, but it was a .22. As it was for a good price and i couldnt be bothered with buying a gun and having it posted to me without seeing it, i thought 'feck it' and bought it. So i picked it up tonight, not had a chance to shoot it yet as it was dark when i got home but ive scoped it up ready for some targe
  8. pics? what mk is the gun? calibre? are you able to post?
  9. Right, im wanting to get some money together for a TX200HC so selling some stuff. Here i have 2 Gamo pistols First one is the Gamo Mod Centre .177 underleaver target pistol. I dont know how old it is but think these started getting made in 1974 and ended in 1991 so could be 30 odd years old! It is in good condition with some speckling on the blueing. Im after £35 posted Pics taken with todays paper so you all know im not at it!! lol Next up is the Gamo Auto 45 .177 co2 powered pistol. Ive had it for roughly 6 years, not used it in a good while though. There
  10. Yeh my uncle has that exact rifle, had a shot of it a few times, really like the look of the TX200HC. Had the PCP for about 4 or 5 months now but really fancy going back to the basics of shooting a springer
  11. Thats funny you should all say this, i was thinking the exact same thing today, i want a new gun, and i want a springer. Ive decided im going to get one, will take a while to save for it but i want one, and ive decided on a .177 TX200, something to look forward to
  12. Nice read Phantom. +1 Slut Point, you deserve it just for sitting down and writing that for so long!! lol John
  13. Nice one cheers. I have a wooded permission so would be ideal
  14. Nice to see you on here again Shay. Looking forward to seeing the write up and pics from later tonight
  15. What laser set up you using mate? Was thinking of maybe buying one and giving it a try
  16. Thats a fair reply. Maybe some people assumed to much when you posted your 1st post, i may have been one of them. Put like that i can see where you are coming from, fair play to ye John
  17. I had a similar morning, up at 4.30, permission 15 mins drive and got 1 bunny lol. What happened to you also happened to me once. I shot a rabbit, good bit of kicking etc so i got straight up to get it. Went to pick it up and it jumped away. Grabbed it and necked it straightaway. What had happened was i had shot it in the eye, missing the brain. Totally my fault and just down to a slightly off target shot. I felt bad afterwards, but there must have been maybe 8 seconds between pellet hitting and me necking it. Now i am in the habit of necking every rabbit i shoot just incase. It do
  18. Lookin forward to the write up, im sure you'll come home with a good bag!! Good luck!
  19. As Phantom said, if they come to you and ask then thats a different story, charge them if you want. But for you to go to them, and then mention a fee, they will tell you where to go. Best thing to do would be get a more economical car, and if there are a few of you, all put in for pellets and petrol. Apart from that, theres not much else you can do John
  20. Nice read Phantom, SPA. Ferrets are great mate, they make great pets. Bet you cant wait for the ferreting season to start now, i know i cant John
  21. Great read mate. SP coming your way
  22. Thanks Phantom. The primary zero was just 25 yards as i wasnt going to be shooting much further than that in the back garden. Dont really shoot further than 30-35 yards as of yet, well not on living things anyway. I just got my battery for the LRF (cost me 6.99, robbing b*stards!!) so hopefully tomorrow will get a mess about with it and sort out my ranges and mildots.
