    ive never used them, i keep my dog fit by giving him loads of work and taking with me when i go jogging. i like to get myself fit as well as the dog.

    my dogs been going out lamping since 8 weeks old and has been lamping on his own since 4 months old. caught his first rabbit at 5 1/2 months old and his first hare at 6 months 1 week on the lamp. your beddy/whippet will be fine to work this winter imo. edited to say. buy the end of my first season my dog was 8 month old and finished his last 7 nights of the season by catching 114 rabbits.

    i use the lightforce lance with a 30watt bulb, i always rewire every lamp i buy so i dont really find any problems with it.

    it takes a dog with plenty of mental and physical strength to do them every night as they have to take some hammer.

    good advice Dell, but with this retrieving dummy or live stuff. I reckon it dont really matter what you do, because a dog will ony do it (if) it wants, you carnt make it fact. Last week he found 2 mixy rabbits, 1 on monday, the other friday. Now as most know on here my dog as caught loads of rabbits last season, and retrieved all rabbits back to me. So when he got these mixy rabbits last, i thought he could a nice bit of retrieving for me as he aint, done much since last season.     i think the best time in a lurchers life is when they are a pup and you are teaching them all you can, i wouldnt be wishing them days away mate. my dogs 6 in september and i wish he was a pup again with all that enthusiasm that he once had.

    i am not a courseing man but i was always under the impression that the dog called foxy was unbeaten for i think 63 matchs.

    That is proper dirty, however how did the pup do? Was it a healthy, decent pup? Why does the x bother you so much. And to trigger - if the breeding is good and the parents do their job, then why call it something it's not? had to spin a white lie because most people dont like alsation in a lurcher, i aint the first and certainly wont be the last to do it. it was a good healthy pup when he took it, i gave the bloke wormer for the pup and some of its favourite food for when he got home, the man PMed me saying how shit hot the dog was on the lamp. then he asked me if i would like it back as h

    most dogs will take the od one or two, but you need a good tough dog to take them regular.

    heres a pic or two taken two days ago. This pup is 3 1/2 months old. would anyone be interested in giving this pup a home. he is going for free as the previous owner had to move home and was unable to take the pup with them, if anyone is interested could they pm flint08 as ive put pics up on his behalf.

    i dont think the 1/8th of greyhound in the whippet would of made any difference to the dog.

    beddy whippets are excellent lamping dogs if you get the right one they will take all the quarry you desire. ive had 20+ bags of rabbits regular with them foxes and even deer preban.

    nothing wrong with a pure whippet cracking little dogs, seen a couple of good ones and been impressed with what they could do considering there size and build.

    my preference is a dog. bitchs seem to mature a bit faster than dogs especialy in the larger breeds.
