See when I read the first 4 words of this post, I thought to myself............ ohhh ohhh... Your right with the 7 months 3/4 me thinks.
but when it comes round to the first birthday its gone by calender, just like us.
just been thinking there, my pup was born mid nov 09. ive been counting a month as four weeks and thinking she is 7 month three weeks today, but if i go by calender months does this mean she isnt even seven month yet? might sound stupid lke lol.
my beddy whippet collie grey used to this. she also used to run past the rabbit and try and herd it towards me. she just wouldnt strike. then when she was about 13 month she struck and then there was no stopping her. just be patient mate i thort she was no good then one day it just clicked.
i hace 5 dogs three bitches. imm keeping a dog for me and one for my mate. whippet good rabbiter, 19 hts. terrier 16 tts good busher and ratter. 150 bitch, 120 dog. pics by text. 07861249767.
i was just lokoking for some advise. when i take my pup out moocjing with my older dog and shes starting to hunt up and chase rabbits, but obviously not catching them. shes had about six runs so far. should i stop her from seeing any thing for a few more months or just carry on. she still has quite a bit of growing to do and is still very imature. cheers.
must admit the ending was a bit disapointing. obviously the dog didnt think that and tell you the truth mate it probly did let it go due to stupidity. no offence like and i do llike salukis.
if you not competing for money etc and you hunt by your self most of the time like i do u dont need a super dog. my dog catches enoguh for what i need and more. although it is good to watch a mint dog work. jus my opinion.
That's like my beddy whippet collie grey that dell just described, good on lamp and good mooching dog but lacks that bit pace and height for daytime coursing.
my pup caught a rabbit [bANNED TEXT] she was four month, as the other dog pushed it to her. she has shown great interst ever since. she is now 7 month and pulls when she sees deer. wont be starting her untill september like.
feed her a bit less and exercise more. lots of free running is what i do with my dogs. feeding raw meat seems to work too. not that im an expert but a would say cross her with a fast type saluki grey for big ears.
