Well done Johnny,as u said "the time for talk is over"', fair play to u for takin on this challenge as if u havent enough on yer plate. For f--cks sake lads stop knockin the man before he even starts. I read his book and id say hes forgot more about terrier work than most know. To Wazz 77; why should we give away pups and stud service free, we have the same costs as u food, vets, wormers, flea doses, bedding etc and the way ye are goin on about the price of borders makes me mad, they average around 100/150 notes dearer than patts, you would spend that on a good night out and all u would have i -

Thanks folks for the replies, the collar transmitter is 80mm x40mm x30mm it weighs 3.5 oz or 100grams. Bryan from ortovox contacted me and reckoned it might be a bit heavy for a ferret but good news they are working on a ferret sized model.B+F dont do a ferret sized system thats why im tryin to adapt mine for ferrets,oh well back to the drawin board. Sorry Strong Stuff i missed your reply, when i checked your topic on damaged collar last night on the terrier forum it was gone, any idea why? a.t.b. burrowman.

A mate of mine reared a vixen with his diggin terriers she got wilder as she got older he loved to watch her for hours hide behind chairs and boxes in his house. He even brought her out in the land for walks with the terriers and she would prance along beside them, it would hav been some crack if they had went to ground. She started to go off on her own at night stayin away a bit longer each time, eventually she never came back and he never saw her again.

Hello lads, terriers and lurchers is my game but my son wants to get a ferret, so ive been droppin in on your site tryin to learn as much as possible about ferretin. I already have a b+f locator for the terriers and i was wondering do ye think a harness would work if it was made like a mini rucksack to fit a ferret with a compartment on the back to hold the collar transmitter from b+f [or ortovox]. I know on a big ferret in rat burrows it would be too tight but it should work in rabbit warrens. Look forward to any opinions. Burrowman. p.s. i have sent a p.m. to strong stuff.

Cant believe it,not again.Sorry for your troubles TT these scumbags must be local theyre waitin for you to restock just to rob again. You gonna have to put the squeeze on the contact that led to you gettin one back[balaclavas and hurleys should do the job.Dont know how youre goin to have the heart to start again.Think about new concrete kennels with solid steel doors and security cameras.a.t.b burrowman

Just checked out k.c. breed standard they say ideally 14'' but shorter sizes allowed thats a bit vague.I prefer what Anna says f.c.i two sizes above and below 12''. When measuring are withers the same as we call to the shoulders ?

hows about some details on the thiefs?? you cant get dogs back let alone a number of dogs with out knowing something????????. for all the talk when dogs go missing on here,it seems like every man for themselves in reality... we havent got a hope.. sorry for the rant, result! Agree with u 100% Chip, great to hear lads gettin their dogs back but if deals are being done or ransoms being paid the thievin scum just continue on to next victim.

burrowman Logun are still about their owned by webly. I’ve only shot a mk2 professional once it seemed ok but I think allot of people were put off by the £800 price tag and the fact that you can only shoot accupells through it. atb bedrock Thanks bedrock for the reply , the brother bought his second hand its supposed to be F.A.C. but when we checked it with the chrony it only clocked 15ftlbs. I also noticed the stock is only beech stained to look like walnut its deffo a factory stock, youd expect walnut on a gun at that price. Hes sent the gun to be fully overhauled to see if it can

Hows it goin lads,i shoot with an f.a.c. Theoben M.F.R. with a Hawke varmint V2 4-16/44 scope, accuracy and power and 12 shot magazine no need to reload on most evening mooches. I have been checking this forum for a good while now and ive seen nobody mention the Logun mark 2 professional [my brothers gun] they used to be popular with pest controllers a while back, has anyone any opinions/experience of this gun. Also is the Logun company finished as he is finding it hard to get parts?

What chest size is the biggest you would put to ground

Cheers lad Il give him a go at it anyway My border dogs not spannable hes 16" tts and weighs 20lbs when fit. Foxes in my area tend to drop into rabbit burrows rather than use proper earths so he must dig on to get to his game, when i break through he is always wedged tight and locked on taking lots of punishment usually needing a week or two lay up. Next dog i get will be spannable as i think life would be easier on the dog, he could get to his game without wasting energy diggin on, he could choose to mix it or bay rather than being wedged fast and you could hunt every day [if poss] rather -
Just watched two dvds this weekend Hounds,Terriers and Running dogs vol 1 and 2 by the Warrener, up to three terriers aground at one time by a professional pest controller
