  3. this is the black and white one Nice, Wheres she from mate? Very similar to a bitch i had years back.
  4. well this one would give any terrier a run for its money any day Which of their lines was she from.(They have 2 lines i believe) i cant be 100% but i think she was the older line of the two .im not realy that clued up in lines and breeding but she was a belter Thats the one.

  6. I always preferred to bolt rather than dig. If its not bolting,i've had to dig all day, down over 12 feet, often to find the fox dead. Plummers will stay with the best of them, from the RIGHT LINES.
  7. Cracking litter. You would have no trouble finding homes for them this side of the pond!
  8. hello bbb, your bang on the money again, the bitch was rescued 12mts ago after a kid in rotheram was prosecuted, near kicked her to death, broke her ribs and was skin and bone when they found her,its took a long time to get her right, the kid got jail(prick)so you see the size of my task, she's never even been out the yard of the lady who returned her to health,I walked her last night with my other dogs and she joined in the hunt on a couple of bunnies, same thing this morning, she has a good temperament and a sharp nose, can follow a line easy enough,so the nose works ok,breaking her to stock will ta
  9. Good luck with the new bitch wirralman. Good advice from PTA-go outside the line for a generation then back in. Im sure they will do the job for you.
  10. Thats good to know wirrelman but no surprise! Like i said, you were looking in the wrong place. The line is the essence of what the plummer was and should be-fiery,game dogs with outstanding nose. They were started from the F1 I bought from Brian in the early 's and built from there. Remlap have continued the line well and kept it very tight. There have been some problems in the past but very few failures come from the line.
  11. You are looking in the wrong place wirralman. I'll be able to put you on to the right working blood soon i think. No bullshit-just proven grafters.
  12. Where is the best place to get stronghold from.Thanks. The vets or google it on line mate.
  13. yep i agree i own 3 plummers and am looking after me mates dog which is litter brother to my young dog 9month old ive had them out bushing the last few days and just watching them work a line in and out of cover is very nice to watch the chance of them catching a bunny on this patch is slim until winter as its very dense at the moment the 2 adults are bringing the the pups on leaps and bounds i shot over them during the winter had rabbits hare fox with them they have flushed deer on my mates land with the 2 older dog standing on there back legs senting the air its the only time they really giv
  14. we have had reports of resistance to frontline over the last couple of years. (Pest control-we treat houses) I use stronghold on the dog and recommend it to customers and have had no reports of any failure with it. It controls round worm too as a bonus!
  15. My best have been plummers-they will own a line and sing like hounds.
  16. i've opened a few peolpes eyes about you to Bill acording to the pms after a week away ! No doubt-I would expect nothing else- Bitchy gossip is your specialty. Whats a peolpes by the way?
  17. Do you realize what you just asked wirralman!? Youve asked the tedious king of self promotion to acknowledge someone else without insult!! Never gonna happen! Notice the little spite jibe in the reply to me-"plummer bred even less than you did Bill". A pointless statement,as i have never claimed to be a big time breeder. As ive said-if it makes the fool feel better about himself,be my guest. More schoolground name calling-curtis the motorway man or some such nonsense. coco the clown? This is what children do,not grown men. Its a very sad indictment for the plummer. Carry on one eyed king
  18. Its an international language is shittalk!! Great thread guys.
  19. Well said. those selling dogs off the back of that fact would do well to remember it before slagging the man.
  20. by the way i dont think id be a manpanzee maybe a womanpanzee though Is that you dragging your poor man by the hair in your avatar?
  21. Im told some of these old "ragtag" terriers were game to the point of suicidal! There are some photos in a couple of Brians books of Dai fish with some of them-"The working terrier" i think. A motley looking crew!
  22. I think you may be thinking of Brians original stuff from the vallys poacher. He did have a rough coated dog called San from these lines which were the predecessors of the more recent pattern marked dogs brian put his name on. Chances are that there was a touch of bedlington somewhere.I believe they vally boys used whatever did the job at the time. The dog i was referring to was matthew Pye's,a son of Rollo. Hope that clarifies it. Still when you think about it,you never know when recessives can surface to bite you on the arse! Mask and Alice were both tight coated.
  23. The old San bred lines used to produce weatherproof coats-smooth but thick. Not as tidy as the real tight coated ones but warmer. The tight coats look better but as said dont offer as much protection. Tail ends suffer in brambles too,but was never a problem with the thicker coats.
