  1. Seems that a lot of 'lurchermen' are happy with poorly trained dogs generally. As for 'retrieving will come'-it won't if it isn't trained. Any dog should be well trained before it sees quarry of any sort.
  2. I assume legal pics-rabbits,rats aren't what the topic is about? It seems that illegal pics that prove the size of a mans testicles is.
  3. Bear in mind, if you get your doors put in because of pictures on the net they will take your dogs,at least until if and when it goes to court. And pictures can and will be used as evidence. If anyone thinks a magistrate, possibly land owning, or worse still a city bred jury isn't going to be swayed by blatantly incriminating photos of hares or deer, they're deluding themselves. It is nice to see photos of hunting but it's a new age now and 'pre ban' caption isn't going to save your arse if you provide the evidence! Just my opinion.
  4. 1 ENV will probably be the cheapest around. Great service too. Never needed a golf ball-turn upside down and shake,no problem!
  5. I've never found igr's to improve treatment over standard insecticides for fleas. In fact I've had more callbacks using cimetrol this year than any other type. It's not bad for bedbugs but stingray was a far better product for both imo. I've got a bottle of cimetrol left but gone back to ficam for fleas-no more callbacks. It does leave a 'bloom' on hard surfaces but it cleans off after treatment is complete no problem.
  6. My lance had a 50w bulb. Not a bad lamp but had a horizontal filament bulb which throws an oval beam. Some idiot left it switched on face down and fried the lens! I like the sound of these 150's if they have a nice tight beam-tighter the better for me.
  7. Hi,..it is good that you are trying to school your young lurcher... Surmounting barriers and getting over (or through) obstacles is just one part of a working dog's education,.but it is a discipline, well worth teaching...Some dogs are natural jumpers, they just love getting 'up and over',.but, alongside fetching and retrieving captured quarry, back to the operative,.. it is not always an inherent trait... Sometimes a dog needs a wee bit of help... I start them young,..in fact,..as soon as a whelp can stumble around, I create barriers that he must negotiate in order to get to me, or
  8. How does the beam spread and brightness compare to the striker?
  9. I believe so. Try a micro encapsulated lambda chyallothrin barrier spray around the conservatory, certainly works for black ants.
  10. Most will be taking protein for the grubs so traps will be little use at the moment.
  11. Deductible-are some of you under a misconception that because some costs are deductible they are free? Yes they are set against tax but you still spend the money! It still costs you. Mr Muddy has the best grasp on his business here as far as I can see. I suggest you all have a look at your profit and loss sheet and see what your cost of sales are at the end of the year-your net profit is what you have actually made for yourself. The rest you have spent actually enabling you to earn it. No mention of advertising costs-one of the biggest and one you need to get new wasp jobs.
  12. Greater cause lol. Lighten up it's only an internet forum not some secret society for the enlightened. hjk-no dummy involved, I've done it myself and then realized how fecking stupid arguing on the internet is when it becomes personal rather than swapping opinions.
  13. FFS are you kids or grown men?? It's the internet and everyone's an expert.....Read back over threads and you may realize how f***ing retarded arguing on the net is! If FD and wirralman , get together, straighten it out and stop hijacking other's threads.
  14. I used to hunt a bit with the warrener, not terrier work but bushing mainly. As Foxdropper said, he catches more foxes than anyone I've ever met. Most by calling to the gun, which he excels at. I've seen foxes appear as if from nowhere when he's calling, the variety of calls is amazing, not just the old rabbit squeal. I find it hard to believe any involvement with dog stealing, I speak as I find and I've always found him a straight up bloke. Wouldn't work terriers in the same style though!
  15. FFFF,fer fecking ages, how do you do F with a lisp?. FFT of course!
  16. Serious stuff all this terrier malarkey. There's going to be some early coronaries I reckon! FD I don't know you or many others on here but would say you know your stuff. I could be wrong who knows? Just as you could be, and probably have been about others. The inevitable rash statements about guys experience or being "real" terriermen (???) emerge from various quarters based on writing styles etc. WTF? How about introducing a new rule to the "real" terriermans rulebook? If one jumps to assumptions and insults another publicly, then let one apologize publicly if wrong. Alternatively- One
  17. Sense of humour lacking a bit in wirralmans thread fd!
  18. So....modern authors-c***s or what? And call me polemic but ffs its "Plummer" not Plumber. ....
  19. Had good results with Formador. For quick results Demand cs or lambda rarely gets comebacks. Long lasting and once down ants are gone.
  20. Must agree-not heavily into bull x but he's a cracker. Touch of collie helps though. lol
