  1. There's more socks......I'm Jackfrost on moochers and a few were convinced that jackfrost was you! There was a proper witch hunt a while back and it surfaced again last week. Funny as feck the way some carry on.
  2. Had a daughter of his. Not a brilliant head but nose and voice like a hound. She was to be mated to Mango's black and tan dog Toby, but fate intervened. She was the foundation of some top class working stuff though.
  3. Watch out NL, there's someone on moochers posting the same and even using your pics!! Lol. Atb Jackfrost.
  4. Yes Jonny, the f1 gen were brindle. Rothwell did breed some decent stuff but like welsby, thought she was gods gift to Plummers and ridiculed most other breeders. Totally against ground work and scorned anyone who worked their dogs to ground as thugs. As does the gobshite welsby. She was charging £475 upwards for pups at one time. Ego and money driven. The 2 original bull o/c dogs were supposed to go back to the breeder when their purpose was served but both were shot to prevent anyone else using them, one after being used at stud with a ruptured penal cord. All for the oft quoted "good of the
  5. Lol. Probably one of the most exaggerated things in pest control, wasps. Along with giant rats...
  6. I bring them home if they're in bird boxes. And charge for it.
  7. Photo is wood wasps as FD said. Pretty harmless sting wise but will bore into timber as the name suggests.
  8. What would the beagle add mate to make these better at driving fox out? You thinking of something that follows a line? What sort of distance? Yeah exactly that. Used to hunt with a pack years ago, good sport listening to them singing through the cover waiting for charlie to show. A lot of bushers don't give tongue on a line, only when sighted. My Plummer pack would bay like hell, but with beagle in the make up I would expect it.
  9. Put back to beagle or beagle terrier would create a good fox driving dog.
  10. He's mentioned that once or twice lol.
  11. LED can be dimmed, I've got the same lenser headtorch shown previously and it has a dimmer lever on the battery case. I also have dimmable led spots in the house. Both gradual dim, not click.
  12. Tighter than 120 have you seen beam on the 150 if so is that to tight No I haven't seen that one bud. 120 is plenty bright enough, but if the 150 is the same with a tighter beam that sounds ideal. Anyone want to trade? lol
  13. A tighter beam on the 120 would be my ideal. And a quiet rocker switch on the handle like the old lightforce I have. Not keen on the click on/off switch on the later lamps.
  14. Quite agree Trappa. Get the right tools for the job. Makes me laugh, folk will buy and break 3 or 4 cheap tools but won't pay for a decent tool that will last. If you can't afford the right kit, you ain't doing it right!
  15. Cimex. Not cheap but designed for the job and very effective.
  16. Will they not kill reds? Racists Funny enough the same type of conversation came up a while back with a group of us, one lad in particular that is very smart in all aspects of wildlife etc. Said that a Pine Marten will catch grey squirrels but not reds as the reds are too fast and even if the Marten follows the reds out onto thin branches it will stop! as it knows the red is lighter in weight and the Marten won't venture any further onwards in pursuit so the red will in turn, live for another day. I thought about it after and thought that's makes sense, then after more thought I said to myself
  17. It's strange the price of rabbits in general hasn't really changed in 30 yrs! Used to get average of £1 in the skin and 1.40 skinned out back then.
  18. Why have you deleted your posts WM?
  19. Just had that happen with some kanias. Found a mouse stuck behind the bait mesh!
