my advice is dont teach your dog to jump it causes more harm then good i find

i find it gives the dog a bit more size to it and makes it that bit stronger spot on for ferreting and shes not to bad on the lamp. but it depens on what you want it for if its for bushing ect. i would be looking for a beddy x whippet due to pure whippets having fine coats. but if its for ferreting and lamping i dont think you could go wrong if trained right and entered at the right age some people might think different but hey thats my opinion each to there own good hunting whippet boy EDITED TO SAY I GOT IT FOR FREE!!!lol

i have a whippet with laguna lines in it she is starting to get better now and even catching a couple of hares. she only a pup yet got plentey of time go get better and wiser all in all a decent dog heres a pic

my dog has a liking for bird feeders when i take her out for a walk and there hanging in the tree take your eyes of her for one second and shes climbing the tree for it lol but the best was when a old man was feeding the ducks with a bit of breed my dog ran 300 yards and jumped up him for the bredd lol until the bloke tryed to kick her lol

she looks keen for a little one i would start taking her out with the ferrets and nets about 7 months hold just to let her know what its about good hunting frank. by the way shes a little cracker

looking good frank i started takin mine out ferreting with the nets at 6-7 months just to hold them in the nets now she is 12 onths and is catching day and night. carnt wait to read some posts when she is catching rabbit agter rabbit by the way were are the pics lol

went out yesterday for abit of ferreting down some local ground had 6 witch is not to bad round here.now i hope i can get these pics up the pics were taken sepratley so you could get a good look at the dogs Jess shes a greyhoundxsalukixridgeback i think lol sally half x colliexgreyhound with all the different crosses its good to see the different styles of how dogs hunt.all in all it was a good day would have been better if i new how to work the mk3 lol but never mind lol. my dog whippet x greyhound

Lol, Wouldnt mind trying that myself. Heard of a few people doing it, bet a Squirrel would be a tough match for a Ferret though, I would try the Poly Jill in the video, shes a tough little fert. I want to gain abit more experiance before I try it though. What do you guys think, in terms of a harder match for Ferret, Rat or Squirrel? Ive never tried ratting either, To be honest I have been put of by the tales in one of Plummers books of Ferrets coming out with there Jaws and Eyes bitten off. i would love to go ratting with some people but i have no terrier lol but my whippetxgray would do the job but not alot of people want lurchers to do ratting when terriers can do it

lol i was walkin over the golf corse by me to day and i saw a squrril run in a hole in the tree so having the ferret on me i put it in and thay was having a little fight at first then it bolted and the dog had it was quite funny lol

my whippetxgray sleeps outside she has got a kennal and stuff but some times she just sleeps on the floor the cold dosent seem to bother her much
