  2. hi good on you for trying night netting, i dont know how far away rabbits are from me when ime netting its dark, but i would be looking to set the net about 2-5yards from the headge if the wind is blowing into the net and its a good wind then as long as you are silent then the rabbits wont bolt and if you set the net as you go, then any that do bolt will still be traped by the set net even if you havent finished setting, however with the wind we have up here its rarely perfect so it may be blowing along the net this is ok as long as its blowing to the already set part of the net where you have

  6. if the pen has enugh space for all of them they should be ok at a pinch but i would only put then in if they have pleanty of space also it will be worth putting them on a dose of anti-biotics just to cleare up any nastys their is their or they will come up with the stress of catching ond crateing. coxie/ hexamiter are the most common.
  7. poachers of ald would have had to deal with keepers of old not chicken farmers of today. if you let a shot off with a 410 you would have to run like a bugger to get away from the spot befor he came on his bike. snares are ok but need looking at thus for easey to get caught keeper finds a snare empty puts a hare in it waits by the snare gets poacher red handed with game buggerd! what you want is a way to take game with no marks or comotion so longnetting .gate netting .snareing from trees. drag netting. or even moonlight ferreting. modern day poachers have any new problems to deal with but if

  12. firstley you need to bed the trap in that means takeing off the turf an puting the trap in the hole them placeing the turf in the trap to cover the mesh. he wont feel it on his feet then. if its a treadle trap the take the soil off the turf that goes behind the plate so it will still go down. i have always used pheasants but anything will do you could even put freed feed outside the trap to get them use to feeding their then just baid up and set it it will take a while to get them. and dont take the dogs to look at it as the area will then smell of dogs or the dog will cock his leg on it and
