    i think the best thing to do is just put the dam things back on the list! we all know theirs damm nearly more of the than foxes. the other way is........... but the law has made cowards of us all,theirs some die-hard farmers takeing the law into their own hands and getting on with it.

    we where out with the dogs one night and come across a young badger in a clover field, it scuttled out on to a country road and gt walloped by a car that then reversed back over it, picked it up and put it in the boot? badger for brekie?! anuther time we where walking over a food bridge over the ehen. and my mate put the lamp on the water as you do, shure enugh their was a fish a salmon it was about 4-5lb resting in the shallow run, he said hold this gave me the lamp picked up a lose paveing slab and droped it on the fish, whitch by this stage was belly up. and off over the bridge he went

    ahh ducks ducks ducks. well you cant go rong with them realy give them heat for 10 days water and feed and they will do very well. drinkers use nipple drinkers if you can or the WILL flood the place out and make a duck shit slop pond. feed starter crumb for 5-6 days in chick trays or plant trays (the black ones 30cm by 60cm) then duck crower from then on to wheat we give them a bit of wheat after 2 weeks just to ease the feed bill. ducks can eat like holy hell. do about 80p to 1pound 20. and about 3 pound at 6weeks old.

    yep we get shafted with prices we get 25-30 a roe try to sell them to freinds if we can. it should only take 20-30 mins to do a roe deer. in to joints and packed

    now lets just hold our guns boys! i agree thease boys are utter dicks and need the full weight of the law. but dont jump on the "ahh gill netting needs banned only dicks do it" a lot of people do it for a liveing theirs members on heare who have my famlie for the last 3gens have done it. illigle gill netting like first post says need stamping out. but not all gill netters are bad

    sure is mate i caught crabs of a lass when i was 16,in hindsight i should have known better she was the local bike. :laugh: that'll teach ya! igh but it wont stop ya lol at 16 i would have f***ed the crack of dawn if could get up early enugh!!

    i used thease for my gill netting stuff once and found they charged a lot more than other places and got my order rong

    i had the same problem with my pup we would bring it almost to hand the run around or lie down i just got his atention clapping your hads or calling his name then take a few steps back all the time keeping low to the ground with a soft theirs a good puppy voice. i dont use food as a reward just lots of praise they soon get the idear

    as the rest have said its bloody gloomy world. ime only keepering because i worked very hard on my work placement and the asked me to stay fulltime. without this i dont think i would have found a job. before you get to into it like going to collage of helping out every where for free, realy and i mean realy think about this. working on your own for a long time, its ok at first even the first few years but belive me after 3-4 years its depressing. next to no sociol life because all summer your knee deep in shit bits and feed. all winter your neck deep in mud feed and mad italians intent on sh

    i always try to help as many people as i can with what ever i can its not that long ago ( my god 10 years!!) i was bugging the liveing shite out of (older) people hell i still am just ask TC! some people have a thurst for knowlage and what to know as much as they can. why not just help them if their just going thru a fase then it will fizzle out and they can go back to their street carner but lets not-not give a young-un a chance. its better they lern from those that have made the mistakes than make them them themselvs. alb

    well welcome to THL, where abouts in cumbria are you? i would recomed staying on hear and asking as many questions as you wish most of us are here to help. firstly i think the age at whtch you can shoot un supervised is now 18 shit i know but hey. and no you dont need a licence for a standard airgun. no their isnt any where you can just shoot you must have permission of the landowner first you can shoot in your back garden if its safe, or joing a gun range thats a very good way to get into this and meet people. no you dont need training but you do need lots and lots of practice when

    well thank you all very much for the help i think if i can find a nice dog in the next 6months i will have a litter from her she is fit and well very well to be honest and she had her first litter noproblems. ps. if any one sees or knows of black and white collie* deerhound/greyhound in egremont whitehaven/ cumbria area please let me know thease are the pups and i would love to track one down pps the grandfarther of the last pups was the dulux dog!
