    yep i dont stop digging and have voted that too i HAVE to get every fox by every means i can. on ground a home on the hill farms it was the same 3 2 day old cubs are the same as 3 2 year old foxes to me and i do exspect a load of stick for that too. but befor you all jump on me i have a job to do and i do it well i dont need the hassle and possibly job loss house loss of a fox getting in my pens. if i do know of a den with cubs in it i will sit out and try and shoot the vixen first or dog as long as i get one of the parents first ime happy to move on to the cubs. cubs are a what the parents ar

    i have always used this way of doing the deed even on a red stag once that was not easey to get hold off i can tell you! like its been said use a strong thin blade hold their ears up and push the knife in to the joint and up give it a realy good push and it will go into the brain. i dont like the idear of cuttung its throat at a RTA that whould look soo bad to police and bystanders. it can also contaminate the meat with stomch comtents. i ha d a shoot day to ords the ned of the year their was a young roe had run into the fence and buggerd its self the group that as their hadnt a clue what to d

    i have two tickets for the dubliners they where for me and the missus but thats gone belly up. so i have one spare they cost me over £60 each so its a pretty good deal! i would like thease to go to a real dubliners fan if pos the gig is 19th of this month and in aberdeen pm me for more info

    me and a pal used to run my colliy/grey..deerhound/grey and his sal/grey..grey/sal/bull on roe in cumbria they worked well together and single but often got their deer in the fences. we did take red a couple of times up patterdale way that was errm fun?! their a big big deer, i have to drag the feckes

    couldent you trat them like deer, ie wait untill you have mother and young worked out take the young them mother, its not nice but it keeps the farmer happy. p.s ime very very jealous!

    hmmm what size is that?

    ike he said when you dig the bed out for the trap put it in sprung and se how it looks the trap wants to be just inside the overhang of the hole if you look you may se a padded bit where they put their feet kind of like a beat on a run. the trap must just fit in the hole i like about 1/2 to 1/4 inch of space on top of the trap.

    love this thread i realy do. i do however feel that it is a big thing in fieldsports to brag show off or try and make out you or your gear are better than you realy are. i make no effort to hide the fact that my dogs are tools of my trade and i cant have shite in my kennals.ad a dog that i dont feel will make the "grade" (i use that losely) is passed on i do have a black pat thats old and very dear to me but is about as much use as t.i.ts on a fish.

    not wanting to sound harsh.. but their is a lot if lads on hear wanting the same and a lot of posts wanting the same i doubt any have got it on hear

    A lot of people think they would love your job but many keepers are not so happy doing it. yep thats right, its one of them things when its good its good but when its not my god it can be bad. if i ask every keeper i know over 30 they ALL say they wouldent be a keeper if they could turnback time! that says something. as for lots of people wanting to be keepers ive had trainee lads up hear and in 4 years and 7 lads only 2 have gone into keepering 2 never lasted a week!

    yes dont get your fingers trapped! realy thou make shure no soil gets under the plate if the traps to big dig it down dont alter the roof of the hole make shure the plate is levle with the ground or slightly above a rabbit wont step into a dip peg them down very well its not just the rabbit your holding its the fox trying to steal the rabbit too if you realy want to do damage to numbers fill il all the hole then trap the ones that are open out and remember to take the safty catch off many a rabbit had be saved by this

    do you know who that "irish twat" is ffs ive seen his lad fight and and paddy is a big hard barsteward! the main problem is to many people "think" their bare knuckle boxers they may even have a fight for a £50 wager but unless you do it full time and make a liveing out of it your not your just a wannabe! i have respect for real boxers i know 2 travlers who box,and make a lot of mony in it . a good freind of mine from cumbria done it for 6 month and was quite good but got out of it because he could se himself getting killed. the film snatch is the worst thing to happen to boxing since tha

    What powder and grain weight are you using Dan? Have you shot roe deer heart/lung with it and if so what was tissue damage like? Peter I use 59 gr of vihtavuori and cci 200 primers, only ever shot 1 roe heart lung with my rifle and the damage was pretty bad luckily I missed the shoulder that would really of made a mess I find that the power and violent expansion of this combination make for an awesome head/neck round (awaiting flack for this) I shoot between 150 and 200 deer a year and have done so for nearly 20 years so I consider my self competent enough to shoot deer in this man
