its a shame realy.......ime good freinds with the familie who own usan fisheries and i have been trying to get a lease on a coble station for the least 3 seasons before it was banned but alas it looks like ime too late......some thing else resigned to the history books
ime very lucky in the last 10 years
a 5 lb pearch (it was in course fisherman years ago) a 20+lb fish from tay and spey (both for free )
a 8lb seatrout from a stream you could jump across a 3 lb grayling on the fly
a 27lb conger from shore but all i want....realy realy want is a turbot on rod and line! ive had them to 19lb in nets...but i just want one on the rod!
I've just text 2 lads from that way to keep a eye out! Ime only 15 miles myself so if you need a hand give me a shout say you get a sighting and ile call in the reinforcements
Get into the scrap but at the local tip and cut all te gear cables off the mountain bikes....take a pack of buicuits for the lads their and they won't mind
They are kept light all running season and will run no less than 2 days a week pref 3...from April to October then the pup training starts...each dog will run diffrent but none run fat! Some run realy realy lean others not so it's down to the dog.. As for numbers I would say 50-90 runs a season... Each from 24-40 mins and from 6-10 mile....a 10 mile run in under 40 mins over fell land 2-3 times a week is the ultimate in fitness IMO but less about rag hounds an more about terriers
I certainly know how to get a dog fit and keep a dog fit....hounds terriers and to a lesser extent lurchers but what we apply to the 30 rag hound in the kennals I apply to the terriers! Good food....walked....and worked! In that order rest if they need it and don't be ignorant an try an work thru a injury! My terriers right now are what people may call thin but to me their ideal and fit te little buggers can and will run with the quad for hours and hours and still brawl at the end of it! To me it's noo good feeding a dog cheap arse food and expecting it to be a athlete! Ile feed pasta veg and
Up til now mate youve always made a lot of sense but this post is several steps back .
they like most my dogs get run on the beach or behind the quad when at work..depending on the dogs...chain weights are a tool in the box
when i want then fit...ile just clip a chain to their collar and let them drag it ive got 4 diffrent chains hanging in the shed and a sash weight...just step them up as and when their doing well
Yes well done 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th in maiden hounds and 4th and 5th in puppy maidens
do you run hounds? you will know me then,if you know the kennal name?
