  1. Some cracking pics there, well done Baz
  2. I've noticed a few adverts for 'Pups for sale' and they've advertised as 'Rytex free', i understand that everyone is entitled to their reasoning, and their is plenty of people green with envy when it comes to certain lines/breeders. I was wanting to know ( apart from the ' i dont like him/her ' route ) why they would opt for a ' Rytex free line of breeding any thoughts would be appreciated. Baz
  3. That little fella on the head is game as...look a tidy breed Baz
  4. I'd say a pup, Lab or Springer, you can get the bond right with a pup, getting something a bit older is risky, it may already have problems set in, if your new to training you may not spot these and this is where problems snowball. Theres plenty of books, dvds, and gundog trainers/clubs out there for info and advice. Whatever choice you make, i hope it turns out well. Baz ps above is only my opinion
  5. To find and flush the game that we're hunting that day, ie be it rabbits, phezzies or hare my spaniels are currently worked under hawks, so thet dont get a great deal of retrieving Even HPR's and the such, i would still expect their main job to find and flush the intended quarry. Baz

  12. Shes just turned 8 months, ripe for training in my eyes, she'll sit and her recall is spot on, she'll hunt naturally so now is the time to start her proper training, she's well bred so the foundations are there, its upto my excellent dog training skills now she has the nose so hopefully it won't take her long to twig on Baz
