In 1975 I joined the Prison Service, standard issue footwear were what I know as fell boots, hob nailed, they were known in the service as Dartmoor heavies, I never had a blister in all the years I wore them. Now I`m retired I wear Le Chameau Mouflon plus, gore-tex lined with vibram sole, now they are comfortable

A lot of years ago I owned a Voere .22rf, after owning it for 9yrs it fell over knocking off the front sight, I wrote a letter to Voere explaining and asked how they wanted paying, like you I received a new sight free of charge. I wondered at the time if a British manufacturer would have done the same?

Duck feeder
malantone replied to 1888andybhoy's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Hope this helps, i`ve no idea where it came from. the spring is open ended and prob should be a bit higher, but basicly ducks rattle the spring(which is fairly soft) and the grain falls out. Tony A. -

I`m no expert but we have a spring feeder which has different spring to a pheasant feeder, the spring is longer and is bent so as to be parallel to the ground, I don`t know where it came from, but it is obviously made for the job. Tony A. -

good answer they are just a charity the uniform goes to their heads they might be a charity, but they have some power, they can get warrents, police assistance etc. if they want to see your dog, you`d better hide it far away. they don`t give up.

Hello mikey, timing of seasons does vary alot and they last about three weeks, the bloody disgharge will last for a while after which she will stand for a dog, people quote various times that a bitch will stand and will tell you its ok after 15 16 17 odd days, you will need to watch your bitch closely. I once had a bitch stand at 21 days and was sucessfully lined. I my opinion you should let your bitch get past the age of two years before thinking of having pups. The Kennel club wont register litters if the bitch is under two.
