paulf,raises a good point.nowadays im al legal and above board but 12 years ago i was poaching full time .phesants,deer ,trout, rabbits.probibly in that order we were getting £4.50 a brase and taking 60 - 100 per night we loaded all our own shells made our own nets 4 the trout ,basicly we were very busy. point is estate cars at night u can see dogs in the back.we always used saloon ,dogs in boot .any time a car head lights seen passenger got down so only driver vissible,also rspb or ramblers sticker in back window

out to day 4 a bit of a mouch, me, my mate and his bitch ( colly/grey) mine r injured at mo'.His bitch ran her first munty, but made good its escape . so nets out to ferret a warren 2 rabbits nice and easy,then all quiet, dog spies munty 250 yrds. so we watched her twisting and turning until out of site. my mate goes to look4 her, meanwhile another bunny in net.10 mins later mate comes back,how many u got he asks? 1 more i reply. 3 rabbits 4 u . 1 munty to me says he . this was her first so he was over the moon , by the way bitch is a hancock,not my tast but she works lamp and with ferrets an

i use live traps on regular basis, squirrels are fairly easy to trap.old rats are very hard to trap. the best position is up in the tree atach trap to a board and put it at about head hight on a good branch bait with monkey nuts , peanuts,maize,and position as close to squirrel activity as pos .happy trappng.

hi fellas ,first time i have replied on this site i work in pest control and do a lot of squirrel trapping the best trap 4 squirrel has got to be the kania . This trap can be set at any angle,upside down,flat on the ground,verticlal on the side of a tree or building if u havent seen one it is made of galvanised tin and is basicly a box with a hole in one end wich the the animal puts its head in . there is a trigger hanging inside wich the animal dislodges trying to reach some nutts in a compartment at the back .this releases a very heavily sprung bar across the back of the neck. these traps ar

hi evrybody my name is tomo i live south of notts . iwork 4 my self in pest control have kept lurchers and ferrets 4 25 years.have only 1 dog at presant and 1 that has been borrowed after a bad injurie to my own dog . 4 days after the new dogs arival she was also injured.Had bad season all in all as i lost adog just b 4 xmas wilst out coursing.
