there are very few jobs that CANT be ferreted, glamour. provided you can leave it till winter when the cover is down . just use lots of purse netts, long netts, plenty of ferrets and a couple of good trustworthy chaps to help. start one end , and work along.

i have recently been aproched about rabbit skins, but in winter, between 60p and £1 each , its somthing i will be looking in to in more detail after september. only problem is the skins need to be in one piece, where as i skin in two halves, but if they do fetch as much as a £1 i will change my ways

you might find the landing net is longer around, but that wont mater. there is other stuff you can use. a hessian sack , but it would look cheap. or perhaps one of those old army kit bags , there thik canvas, a bit long , but cut it in half , half way up . i think that would look and work well.

any of you chaps going to try this methhod with the scissors ? i use this method with success, in fact when im using scissors this is the only way i set them now. you can see it works with the talpex , and there almost the same trap,

Ah, 2* petrol! Christ I'd forgotten about that until you mentioned it! What about the little stickers you used to get from the Texaco garage? used to get something like one for every £5, collect 1000 of them & get a mug! And I can remember my nan used to put a fiver petrol in, and it used to last about a fortnight! yes i forgot about 2* petrol, wasn't there 3* as well and 4 * . we used to go big bike rides as kids all round , and go knock on a door of any random house for a drink of water. and get it . ans snow in winer , we would miss many days scool in winter, d

I THINK PEOPLES EXPECTIATIONS ARE DIFFRENT NOW, THERS NO NEED TO GO AND GET HUNDREDS OF BUNNIES, BACK THEN IT WAS EXPECTED LOTS OF UNEMPLOYEMENT, AND THE LADS MADE A BIT OF CASH OUT OF THERE BUSSMANS HOLIDAY. TODAY IS DIFRENT, SURE THEY WANT TO GET A FEW, BUT I BET MOST LADS WOULD BE HAPPY WITH 20 OR SO FROM FERRETING AND THE SAME FROM A NIGHTS LAMPING, . IF MARK DOES NORMAL HOLIDAYS FOR REGULAR FOLK IN THE SUMMER, AND HUNTING HOLS IN THE WINTER, PERHAPS 2 OR 3 BOOKINGS A MONTH DURING WINTER, SAY OCTOBER TIL FEB . thats a good point pritch, i think enen in those old days lurchers were still bitsa's , rather than being a first cross all the time. dont get me wrong im sure there were first crosses, but i bet on the hole lurchers were just that, LURCHERS. I also remember an intresting article by the warrener in one of the mags, he put up some adverts of lurchers for sale, from the exchange and mart from about 100 year ago, and there was qite a few irish terrier crosses if my memory servs. whatever the story is with the lurcher, i love em TOMO

HERES ON THEY USE ON BEEF IN THE SOUTHERN HEMASPHERE, AND IS VERY CHEAP AND EASY, COCA COLA, YES COCA COLA. PUT SOME STAKES IN A BOWL COVER WITH COKE LEAVE OVER NIGHT IN FRIDGE.

try adding one of those colemans packets to your stews trappa, i put 2 in . use beef cassarole, chicken cassarole , lamb cassarole. mix and match. i always leave the meat on the bone when stewing it adds flavour , after a couple of hours the meat wil come of the bone then , so you can then take the bones out.

i have also met the man a couple of times at shows, the first time BREEZE, told me to have a chat with him as hes an intresting fella, ........ breeze is a wanker . fook me can he talk, like you bosun some of his logic was way out there, ask him about tumbler shoulders :wacko: . but he is an intresting chap , with a great old photo album , heel show ya, and when i saw him he had with him two beautifull looking rough coated lurchers with. of course looks mean nowt , but they were very nice.
