  1. if you were the avrage chap in the street with pet dogs, i dowt anything would be done. but a person who hunts, with lurchers or terriers that would be a hole diffrent kettle of fish, they would not belive you

  10. on the lurcher section . agree with macam the minshaw thread. also like the coursing threads, especialy talk about all the old lines. also marks threads are good for a laff. and most recent the norfolk thread. theres also loads of great stuff on the trapping section. theres hundreds of years experiance on that section .
  11. there are very few jobs that CANT be ferreted, glamour. provided you can leave it till winter when the cover is down . just use lots of purse netts, long netts, plenty of ferrets and a couple of good trustworthy chaps to help. start one end , and work along.

  14. i have recently been aproched about rabbit skins, but in winter, between 60p and £1 each , its somthing i will be looking in to in more detail after september. only problem is the skins need to be in one piece, where as i skin in two halves, but if they do fetch as much as a £1 i will change my ways

    great country , the huntings good as well. they have a drink there called beer, only its not beer its larger and is freezing cold and tastes like piss if they had real beer (ale) and had at a normal temp it wouldnt be to bad, the ozy wine is good though. and boy oh boy do they get wound up if we beat them at rugby great place get ya self there
  17. you might find the landing net is longer around, but that wont mater. there is other stuff you can use. a hessian sack , but it would look cheap. or perhaps one of those old army kit bags , there thik canvas, a bit long , but cut it in half , half way up . i think that would look and work well.
  18. any of you chaps going to try this methhod with the scissors ? i use this method with success, in fact when im using scissors this is the only way i set them now. you can see it works with the talpex , and there almost the same trap,

  22. Ah, 2* petrol! Christ I'd forgotten about that until you mentioned it! What about the little stickers you used to get from the Texaco garage? used to get something like one for every £5, collect 1000 of them & get a mug! And I can remember my nan used to put a fiver petrol in, and it used to last about a fortnight! yes i forgot about 2* petrol, wasn't there 3* as well and 4 * . we used to go big bike rides as kids all round , and go knock on a door of any random house for a drink of water. and get it . ans snow in winer , we would miss many days scool in winter, d
