  3. wouldnt say Scotland is teaming with rabbits? certain areas yes, the same as anywhere else in the british isles, a mate of mine from dundee did some famous walk 4 years back right thru the center of scotland up to the highlands i believe and he was well dissapointed with the amount of rabbits he saw. but yes when it comes to coursing lurchers history dictates the better ones were from england and most of the time from gods very own country lol (the north east) max is right , there are some excelent dogs from up there full credit to the lads from north east. of course all those to

  5. no laughing i have a lurcher that cathes regularly in this type of ground, i have lost a couple, but the one i have now is good, you need a permit over here to hunt the hare. no contest that grounds a piece off piss to catch hares on, i got a pup here would clear up on that land especialy , with those easy to catch irish hares.

  7. IF YOU WANT TO GET WATER IN A DOG FAST , ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF MILK TO IT , PERHAPS JUST A 1/4 OF A CUP TO PINT OF WATER , MINE WILL DRINK THIS DOWN IN ONE GO . OR THE WATER OF BOILED UP RABBITS , THAT GOES DOWN AS WELL.. I ALSO REMEMBER SOCKS MENTIONING SOMTHING ABOUT HEART WORM, A FEW WEEKS BACK. CHECK THAT OUT AS WELL
  8. Crikey, they were going for 50p a kit at Melton market. At least if someone paid £30 I'd feel they really wanted the ferret and would more than likely look after it. you can pick albino hob kits up for 50p at melton simoman , but coloured jills , sivers and blacks fetch good money there nowadays especialy if you hold on to them till september. watched a suposedly europien polecat x ferret go through last winter for £75 yes you red that correct £75 , seen other black jils go through at the £40 mark
  9. yes its £700 , yes a lot of money , but the best off breeding

  15. IN AGREEMENT WITH SOCKS , HAD THE SAME DISCUSION ON RABBITERS LAST WEEK , NO NEED FOR ANY MILK FOR ADULT ANIMALS. MOST MAMMALS LOOSE THE ENZIME THAT BREAKS DOWN MILK AS THEY GET OLDER,

  20. TO be honest i dont think they would be strong enough to kill an adult rat out right. im not saying the rat wouldn't die in it. becuase the rat would probly die from suffacation, rather than the trap breacking its neck/back.
  21. why what happened with your shaped nets???????
  22. it dont mater what colour they are, its all about setting them right, rabbits are colour blind. mind you , its a bit of a fuss, tying all those nots on , to change colours. i like a net with only one tye on , in its length. TOMO
