  1. well we dont just stand in the same place, we will wander round and keep checking the net. and because we can see bits of the longnet through the open door at the back of the barn. we would see the top line dancing around if owt was in it.
  2. 13 would be a bad day up there as theres plenty of rabbits, as they say you can only catch whats there. if i get in to the teens localy its a good day
  3. had another day out up there on our permission, the first farm we did proved to be poor , most of the nice easy warrens had gone and i mean gone , vanished with out a trace. we did get a few but it was slow work . so with 13 in the bag we moved on to another farm. the next place is the one we have hit a little hard already with the lamping. but theres still good numbers , and we quikly had 8 in the bag from the first warren. we used the 50 yard hemp longnet, but needant have bothered as Tara cought 7 from 7 befor they even reached the net, and im sure would have had the 8th. we carr

  6. feck me 14 pages jesus. well we have all seen the odd hare run up the beam, i have also seen rabbits do the same. i love the replys from the none belevers, "oh hares are easy on the lamp" f**k off. there the ones that claim its easy to get a large bag of hares, but have never done it then dare to ask them to prove its easy. and there reply is always the same, i dont have to prove nothing but they still think its easy to catch large bags of hares. so i say to all the big mouths, just once, only once, get out there and do it. you will then be able to back up your mouths

  10. heres an example i have just set an old 50 yard hemp net up on the fixed pole system, using hazel pegs set at 6 yrd intervals i have used 9 poles ans is set around 20 ins
  11. you must of calculated that wrong, or forgot the first pole, at 8 yard intervals there are 13 poles, and this is 96 yard .this is what i was tought with trad set net years ago. if you set at 7 yard you will need 15 poles, that will take you to 98 yard if your being exact 6 yards you will need 17 that will take you to 96 yard , and an extra one to make the 100. and 21 poles at 5 yard intervals, its your choise fella, TOMO

  25. i think i know whats happening, but weather i can explain in words in another thing but hear goes. when you set the trigger, in the catch of the pan, the trigger will very often be resting right close up to the safty catch making it hard to flip it off. what you need to do is push the trigger to the side, away from the catch , . feck i knew it would be hard to explain
