    allthough long nets can be used ferreting , and in other ways as well. the real work of the longnet is at night. where ever you have rabbits leaving there home warrens at night to feed else where . there warrens will often be in woodland or hedgrows. the idea is then to sneak along at night whilst there out feeding and set the net a few yards out from the hedge/wood were there warrens are. they will be out in the field feeding . then walk round the back off them and gently push/herd them in to the net. a few pics here

    feck i drive round with the main beam on as well as the lamp out the widow, in fact i just got back in from doing exactly that. 2 rabbits and i shot a hare not bad for a quik 30 mins

    good for the Gurkhas i saw that program maty, what suprised me was when the police car pulled up they didn't do a runner. they were obviously awear of the rules, and the fact the police are not allowed to arrest them. when the police woman was telling the cammera man this . her face said it all , you could see by her expecian what she thought. f*****g SCANDALES

    my old partners dog is a bull/grey first cross. he likes this type , but always has the small lightly built types . in fact the bitch last night is lighter than Tara. his old bitch from years back was a real tool on the buns. and 40's were here home terratory, in fact we should have pushed her further, but thats another story.     up the dales for the weekly pylgramage to the holy land of the bunny. my old hunting partner came and a good mate of his and there 2 inexperianced dogs, who performed reasonably well , and got a decant score each. well this new farm realy is like watership down at night there are a ridiculous amount of rabbits feeding on these fields, and running up to the fell. there looks to be a few good bits to snare and longnet as well. holy shit ! were some of these fields steep feck me i was blowing a bit.     FUNNY you say that max, i was only telling mark earlier about Sally's strength's and weaknesses. although i aint seen cat work it sounds like they were of the same abilitys.

    where are you lot getting this big dog thing from, miles dog is about the same size as marks, there are plenty of fen runners, saluki types especialy the bitches that are around the 23 mark. and of course marks dog stands a chance , as some one said there have been some good flash bang wallop types. the one in my avatar was just such a dog , but give the hare a minuit , then another , then start getting in to that 3 minuit terratory. its at this point most lurchers wil fade.
