but if it comes from good working stock and has been well reared and doesnt have any defects then there is no reason why with good traning good food and a warm bed why it shouldn't be a good worker

i have they are great traps they are very good in those situations . but you can also put a tunnel in a tree with a body grip or fenn.
i have some fenns that are set on a flat board about 7" wide 18 " long with a wire mesh tunnel over the top and one end closed .
thes can be positioned in trees with a litle bit of wire and imagination .

hang it in a cool place ie brick out house if you have one or a seller . depends on the time of year & how warm it is 3 days to a week provided its cold. grallock it and gut it once you know its dead the quiker the better. hang it up and skin it when its hung long enough.
then cut int smaller bits and put it in the freezer for a short while till it stars getting firm then it will be easear to joint.
use keraseen, heating oil but u add about 1/2 littre cheap engin oil to 20 littre of keraseen , last time i bought some it was about 25p a littre, dont know what it is at the mo
its not a very clear photo but i think its a wood wasp , but there are a number of difrent speices of wood wasp . the long thing that looks like a sting is what the female uses to bore holes in wood to lay eggs and is not a sting.
