  1. had one the same a few year back mate, little polcat hob, fecking usless , just in and out as yours was doing. kept him for 2 years , but just the same. one day whilst doing a large bank in the dales , we lost him couldnt find him anwhere. so we carried on ferreting, right at the end of the day on the last warren 2 fields a way , we netted up a small 10 holer. pops in a couple of jills 5 rabbits out in 5-10 mins , then all quiet, locator out . mark straight a way. spade out , one spadfull of soil out, and fook me theres the hob still curled up asleep i had to wake the fecker u

  3. Will these ltle torches last a full night vin, or should i say how long will the batteries last . the other thing is , lampers have always strived to get tight beams of light. but i wonder if you could go to tight. you see when using the light force , and you flick round a field you see lots of rabbits in the edges of the beam. and even when the dog is running you will notice one out the corrner of your eye in the edge of the beam, sat tight that you may run next. also when the dog is running at the farthest edge of the beam , it would be very easy to compleatly loose the dog and q
  4. some dog lads use them for pig hunting in NZ , and they are a nice type for shure
  5. been using tunnels like that for years mostly for squirrels, i would use better mesh, use 1inch or even half inch weld mesh. you can also just take lengths of mesh out on jobs , with no wood floor, and just bend them over a trap on a run. easy peasy.
  6. bugger, looks like me and nobby missed out on some good ferreting , with all those bunnys you been shooting and snaring oh well always next season. good stuff mate all the best TOMO
  7. mine does as a few of you know, she does it flushing hare, somtimes, but is also silent on some runs. she will also do it a little on bushing rabbits daytime. but is silent on bunnys on the lamp. mines only 1'4 kelpie, but mine might not have come from the kelpie side, as the dam (whip/grey), her sister did it. so with mine its more likely to have been inherated .
  8. ANOTHER FRANK sire kelpie/grey dam whipp/grey only 1/4 kelpie

although most of us pesters think phostoxin and talunex is not that good moles and rabbits, its its aplication thats at fault rather than its leathelness. yes fellas this stuff realy is deadly. if i remember my training correctly it only takes 1 in 600 .000,000, thats 1 part gass to six hundred million parts atmosphire, in an enclosed space and in about a miniut your very dead
  14. put some pics up mate, with a good close up of the plate
  15. read this fellas. ian put it on genral talk , i think it deserves a place on here, a truly incedible tale http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/...ert-island.html

  18. intresting stuff, they shure do look big those boys. by the way wolves are difrent sizes around the world , the ones in europe are far smaller and genraly quite lean especialy in the warmer climates
  19. a mate of mine went up there a few times to his place, for dogs. and had some nights on the piss with him. whats that saying . "it was emotional" .

  21. Blackledge, herd of that fella wasn't he a very noughty fella from up in lancershire, been dead a few year though i think.
  22. thats it lamps , just keep at it very often the best way to lern is by mistakes, we all do it
  23. to be honest lamps , that net doesn't look to have much bag in it. although that could just be the pic. also on the second pic down, that peg (pole) is either not pushed in far enough cos the bottom line is sitting high . another tip, is to set the poles at an angle. so that the rabbits runn on to the mesh., and the top line could do with being tighter. apart from that just keep practicing mate, its the only way to lern . all the best TOMO
  24. nice bit o land there fella, some nice ferreting by the looks dont know why it would be no good for the dog, looks a good place to lamp , down that winter wheat field next to the bank, looks ideal.
