  2. didn't know her , but i know he had a reputation like minshaw for having a good lamping strain, from the info i had about his strain they were mainly whippet greyhound, might have been a touch of bedy in there,, but this is just what i hurd and could be wrong TOMO
  3. fella your splitting hairs to much, and reading to much in this home advantage thing, there aint no home advantage not slip for slip . im prepaired to travel to other peoples land just like the rest in the comp
  4. THERE WERE QITE A FEW DIFRENT DIFRENT BREEDS IN HIS MAKE UP , EVEN ASD IS NOT ENTIRLY SURE , SUFICE TO SAY THAT THEY WERE BRED FROM THE BEST OF THE BEST LAMPING DOGS AROUND AT THAT TIME IN THAT AREA. THESE ARE SOME OF THE TYPES THAT MAY BE IN THERE GREY, WHIPP, STAFFY, COLIE, TRAIL/FELL HOUND. BUT I DOWT IT REALY MATTERS, THE WORK THEY DO IS ALL THAT MATTERS

  9. yeah i think so, youll have the time limit to beat him on numbers, if not then the injured dog goes through......it'll leave a month for the injured dog to get itself right for the next heat.....what about if the dog is still out by the next heat, do we let the other dog through by default??? DOH GOOD QUESTION  hhhhhhhmmmmmmmm i dont know
  10. even if the injured dog has only cought 3-4 more, the other dog has to beat that, yes
  11. good point max, i think thats a better idea
  12. this is one sport you ozys would not win
  13. yes, you'll be lamping your own rabbits that you slip your dog on, so you can use a candle if you want....... another question - what if the wires feck up on the lightforce lamps IF THIS HAPPENS AND THE LAMP IS FECKED, THEN MY SUGESTION IS HOPFULLY THE OTHER PERSON WILL HAVE GOOD SPORTMAN SHIP. AND PASS YOU HIS LAMP. IT MAY THEN BE BETTER TO RUN SAY 5 RABBITS THEN PASS BACK THE LAMP. TO SAVE PASSING THE LAMP BACK AND FORWARD
  14. I THINK YOU MIGHT NEED TO OPEN A POST WITH THE RULES, WE NEED TO BE CRYSTAL CLEAR, FOR EXAMPLE IF A DOG IS INJURED DURING A HEAT, THE OTHER DOG GOES THROUGH REGARDLESS OF WEATHER IT WAS BEHIND OR NOT. THESE ARE THE KIND OF THINGS THAT NEED TO BE IRONED OUT,
  15. donation to lurcherlinc say 100, what about donation to this site, are you going to film it ian? then some money as max sugested trophy dog coat ect, if theres £500- 600 left then £400 -500 for the winner and £100 for the runner up. just a sugestion
  16. OK i have a jill exactly the same as the one julia put up , she has just had 4 kits, but to an albino, the colour does change slightly , in winter she is slightly lighter, but come somer she is black. of course her name is mink. at the moment she also happens to be my best worker, and is easy to handle
  17. well done rew, must admit i liked the look of both those two muts of yours, be nice if you and WH get drawn in a heat in the comp. i will judge that one
  18. for world hunter, read the post proply all the info is there its a run for run , most rabbits in the bag wins. both dogs will have had identicle number of runs. i also would point out that each competitor carries there own catch, of course on some ground you could drop off evry now and then , but that might not always be possible. depends on the land
  19. ok im going to upset the young ones, if they have adults with them there will be to many people out. theres no way im taxiing people around , what if you have an acident . there parants are not going to be happy. NO no kids i dont want the responcibilty i would say they need to be at least 17 and be able to drive
  20. lets just go for a 16 dog stake. i know a very decant bred coursing dog that would have stood a good chance 2 year ago , with a very high % record , she missed very few slipped on................. but thats the past and the little dog will have to do the honers.
  21. IM IN WITH TARA WILL ALSO JUDGE A ROUND OR TWO . I HAVE PERMISION IN THE DALES, AND IN LINCS. BY THE WAY , WHAT DID YOU MEAN NO SLIP LEAD LONGDOG. YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE SLIP LEADS, SOME DOGS WILL NOT WALK AT HEEL OFF SLIP. HERES TARA
