  1. Just kibble and rabbits. Try to feed 80% fresh rabbit and supplement with kibble.
  2. Have settled on either an x-bolt or T3 for the rifle, now considering mods.. I've been looking mostly at Wildcat Predator 12's and Stalon W145's , anyone have any opinion on either? Im looking for a longer heavier mod, not interesed in the compact lightweight models. My prime concern is noise reduction and ease of maintenace rather than weight saving or reduction in additional barrel length. All opinions welcomed...
  3. Well I finally managed to get out for a morning last Sunday. It was an important one as I'm bringing on two young kits this year alongside my older experienced Jill so it was a very first outing for two of them. The landowner had asked me to concentrate on a long hedgerow which, at one side, he had recently drilled. A few days previously I had been down and managed to cut back the worst of the nettles etc. in the central part of the hedgerow where the biggest concentration of rabbits seemed to be. It was a nice morning, got there for about 7am and saw plenty of rabbits still feeding

  10. Anybody else's ferrets addicted to kibble?? My lot got a mixture of rabbit and kibble during summer so as to keep the flies at bay. Now I'm trying to go to 100% rabbit they are all lined up at the cage door in the morning waiting like smack heads waiting for their methadone (kibble) outside the pharmacy!
  11. Nice one mate, hope my kits first outings go as well as that!
  12. I'm looking forward to seeing some more videos from you mate, they are definitely some of the best of ferreting on YouTube
  13. Haha yeah, I'm aware they have a bit of a bad reputation in certain parts!
  14. Looking at this for potential next car. Diesel, Done 98k. Anyone got any real ownership experience of these cars? Any good? Reliable?
  15. Hi All, I have two kits starting their first season this year, I also have an experienced Jill. I have always used experienced ferrets so this is my first time entering a kit for its first time. I see a lot of people advise to start kits in small warren first....this issue I have is on my permission there simply isn't such a thing as a small warren; they are all at least 10 holes. In this situation what do people advise? I was hoping that entering the kits in with my experienced Jill, one at a time, would be ok regardless of the size of the warren, what do people think of this? O
  16. No mate but whatever you would near fair weather as it's a bleak old place up there in poor weather
  17. I went , then it pissed it down and I wasn't hanging around for the bull cross dog class in that weather so left it this time. There was a few nice dogs knocking about wasn't there.
  18. Haha i didnt see mate, sorry. I was at the Lurcher ring all day then left after the final class my dog entered into finished.
  19. I know your pain mate, I had a nightmare trying to find two good kits for this season.
  20. I was feeding mine on Dr Johns Titanium as mixer a while back but he had all sorts of skin issues (not saying it was down to the food) so I moved him on to 100% raw mince chicken and salmon oil diet ...that did the trick. Like people say, those dry foods just make them sh*t about 10 times more. I remember it being good value though.
  21. Mine has got taking Pheasants against wire fences and out of hedgerow bottoms down to a fine art. Retrieves em (almost to hand ) too.
  22. I have sent him a PM too which he hasnt responsed to yet. Hope he is ok
