    The expat lifestyle is certainly not for everyone that's for sure. But for sure if you can stick it then ( depending what industry you are in) there is a lot more opportunity to make a lot of cash fast which I think is why people do it. Anyway, thanks for all the comments, very interesting. I look forward to the day when i get back for good

    WILF to be honest that's what most British expats I meet out here say; the UK from a politics and social perspective is definitely going down hill. I think that's why the British love nostalgia much, maybe things were actually better in the 'good old days'.

    Hi all I'm originally from the UK and have been living and working in Thailand now for the last 3 years. I must admit I'm missing the the good old British countryside like hell and it makes me jealous to read some of the posts on here and I suffer terribly from nostalgia of the good old days out with the dogs etc. these little nostalgia trips always forget the cold weather and rain though! Anyone else on here and EXpat missing blighty?

    Wow it seems the world has turned upside down, apparently (I haven't actually watched it yet ) Countryfile has done an unbiased piece on Hunting with dogs this week....so now we can rely more on the BBC than Fieldsports Britain!

    Did anyone see the latest Fieldsports Britain episode on Youtube?? Talk about tarring everyone who owns a lurcher with the same brush! There was references to the injured deer being the fault of the 'coursing fraternity' and also talk about oh it was probably all done with 'pit-bull' crosses.... the last time I heard this sort of talk it was from the antis. I'm personally disappointed by Fieldsports Britain's attitude here, they openly giving fuel to the antis' fire on Youtube, im sure it would be a different story if someone did a programme about injured animals due to misplaced shots

    yeah it good mate i used to work with jimmies nephew davie on glen avon estate up in the cairngorms so ive lived it as well its a great life. You lucky bugger, i'd love to have the chance to work somewhere like that, I have got the DVD on the way, looking forward to seeing it.
