  1. hi martin, what length of barrel and what moderator was on your .204 and if you dnt mind me asking, why did you get rid of it?
  2. its alright to say that if you only shoot for sport, but if your a farmer or keeper its neceserry vermin control so a closed season just wont work. i do agree though if yo shoot a vixin in milk an efort should be made to find the cubs.
  3. keep it simple get an s&b 6x42 its all you will ever need unless you like to shoot rabbits at 700 yards
  4. nice fox john. is that rifle a heavy barrel or sporter?
  5. both work well but imo the t8 is quieter. the standrd wildcat p8 is the same size as the old t8. the new t8 is a bit smaller and better ballanced.
  6. i seen this done the other day but never asked at the time, but what are the skinned tails used for?
  7. black fox how are you finding the caliber? and what scope are you using on it? it looks like it would make a great vermin rifle! how does it preform on foxes and what is the wind drift like with the small bullet? any body else got any info on this rifle cheers. deerstalker
  8. forget the .22-250 you could run faster than that! what you want is the 5.6x61 vom hofe super express
  9. depends what you want it for if you want a rifle for the long distance it is a good choice but if you are short range woodland stalking a shorter barreled .308 will probobly suit you better as a slower hevier bullet is less likly to be deflected by twigs and long grasses the carcase damage is not bad with any sensible caliber if you place the shot well
  10. if you fire alot of shots, ask yourself this, do i want the use of my ears in a few years time?
  11. what do you think of these! ? http://www.ecorider.com/ anybody ever seen or used one? 120mpg on red diesel cant be bad though
  12. 25-06 is a 30-06 necked down that why it has 06 in the name and i wouldnt bother i would get 30-06 or 6.5-55 agreed, but what i mean is that the .25-06, 270, 30-06 all share the same case size
  13. for us up in scotland the .270 is a popular estate rifle for stags because although it recoils hard and its loud its quite dificult to cock up the shot to badly dont rule out the 25-06 though this is basicly a .270 necked down to accept a .25 calliber bullet both are flat shooting and hit hard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.25-06_Remington
