    I used to catch a lot of Salmon with the Prawn, loved it, then they banned it.

    Come september october get him out with the ferrets,gets them used to working with them, marking, watching the rabbits hit the nets, and the noise of the ferrets working rabbits below ground. when old enough to working regular, Ferreting Lamping and mooching, Should be no need to run behind a bike, bit of road work and free running.

    Its running through in Lamb ewes that can can cause damage, the dog is not chasing the Sheep but if the quarry runs into a field with Sheep the dog will chase. The pedigree Ewes Texels, Suffolk's ect lamb early and will be ready to drop late January February.

    I would just pile the meat into her, this is how i feed my pup, any left overs go into a secure bag and go into my dog fridge. I also have a bowl of Gain Puppy and Sapling which is fed ad lib, and he can help himself when he wants.

    Having kept Sheep its not just the running and grabbing, a Dog running through in lamb Ewes, will cause damage. You have to remember you are out for a bit of sport, they are the Farmers livelihood. A big difference.

    Whats difficult in taking hemp nets out your bag and hanging on a couple of hooks, only takes mins.

    I give my current Pup one teaspoon of Gain Garmavit daily, why Because I fell hook, line and sinker to the Gains reps speel, Telling me if feeding raw with biscuit, a pup needs supplements. probably total nonsense, but there you go i bought a tub, When it runs out I wont replace.

    Ive used a Bulldog for years, also have a small spade, and recently bought a nice stainless steel one from Homebase, it had quite a bit of it, a good buy, it was Lawrence from here that put me on to it.

    I have hemp nets ive had for 40 years, they are not a problem, just put a hook up in your shed. After a days ferreting take them out your net bag and hang them up, they will be ready for use next day. Although I now use the poly nets, nothing flops nicely as the hemp.

    This is a long shot, a few years a Hare mask of mine was sold at a auction in South Scotland, my Wife hated it, It had a small badge on it which read caught at Gallaberry January and the date by Rag Whippet X Bedlington. Just wondering if anyone has seen this mount?

    More expensive, but the beauty of only having one dog, I will carry on using the Prize freeflow from pets at home, and Morrisons Savers beef mince £1.99 for 2lbs 2oz. and Lambs hearts. and cheap oily fish from the fish counter. more expensive, but at least you're putting in decent tucker. I found that my last dog was not to keen in DAF minces.

    I just get mine from my local pet shop, its their own make, it has more or less all the ingredients as the well known makes, and is a lot cheaper.

    Its now very difficult to get decent raw meat, I used to be able years ago to go to a local Knackery, and Abattoir, but that has all stopped, my Mate who races Greyhounds bought raw dog mince from a Butcher, I phoned the butcher and asked what was in it, he said stuff from the Abattoir and my own. my mate bought some, and gave me a pound to try, the dog refused to eat it. Ive yet to see Dog Beef mince that just contains Beef, theres usually offal in there as well.
