  1. Like Stabba says I prefer it dry, my pup has his kibble in the bottom of his bowl, and his raw beef on top, not mixed in. he will polish his meat off right away, and at the end of the night he will return to the bowl and finish of the Kibble. if there's some kibble left, he will eat it for breakfast. if i soften the kibble with water or gravy, he wont eat it.
  2. I get mixed up with percentages, but ive fed 20% Gain with 1lb raw on a 22 inch 10 month 3/4 Whippet X 1/4 Bedlington. He has never had diarrhoea, stools are mainly hard. I will now notice if there is any difference. I like to give dogs a change, so today I bought a bag of CSJ dog foods That'll Do/hi Lost. 21% protein if interested will let you know how he does on CSJ. not saying I will never return to Gain.
  3. how do you rate the muck boot birddog better for ferreting on cold mornings too warm for lamping had them 3 yrs and they seem to be ok I agree haha feet sweat bad in them but warm for the cold mornings and comfortable ,easy to put on take off ect would buy them again Warm, comfy, but soles are shit, i was going down a wet grass banking, feet just went from me, grabbed fence to break fall, ended up in A&E five stitches in hand, not good on grass slopes.
  4. The only reason I got it,because he is going into boarding kennels, and none will accept a dog without the vaccine certificate, with the amount of dogs owners that use kennels, it must be a nice wee earner for the vets, and the vaccine certificate only lasts 6 months, then if needing to be kennelled again, that's another £21.
  5. Pup going into kennels, had to get him vaccinated for kennel cough, in the Vets 3 mins max, one scoosh up one nostril, signature in his vaccination certificate, took one min. £21 if i had the stuff, i could have done it myself, so you are paying top dollar for a signature, I bet you could purchase the bottle cheaper than £21. RIP OFF.
  6. Get them started young, and remember don't praise if he puts his head in a hole, as this could make him false mark. the first photo he was 3 months, I saw the Rabbit going in. now just 10 months and turned a really good marking dog. Second photo he is 9 month, marking a holding bury with his Dam.
  7. I hope Ronnie Barker wasn't watching it, up there, surprised David Jason getting involved, totally unfunny.
  8. It was new, don't know if it was a one off, or a new series, if it is a new series, I will be giving it a miss.
  9. Would it not be, having them a bit older not as dangerous when being put under, cant remember what age mine was, but he was groggy for a few hours.
  10. Watched it last night, even as a Scot, cant say I found it funny, thought the storyline was just plain stupid.
  11. Nice wee drop, good to see the traditional webs being used, happy hunting.
  12. All my baskets were made by Lifelongcumbrian, on here, but he only makes them for friends, but he passed on the measurments etc to Nelson on here who is making and selling them, contact him, im sure he will sort you out.
  13. Another great wee marking dog, never told lies, she has marked an occupied bury in the photo and lying down behind the bury as she always did, waiting for the bolt. Photo taken 30 years ago.
  14. Why dont we all wait, till a member cranks his neck ferreting, or jumping fences, and can wear one of these collars and let as know the results.
  15. Phoned them today to place an order, I havnt got much room in my freezer and as i had not tried this product before, i was wanting to order two boxes with transport costs, would have been £22, but was told there is a minimum order of £30, as they are delivering in my area anyway and would only take a couple mins of manpower to drop off two boxes and they would be £22 in pocket.
  16. I agree my final say is, maybe they work and maybe they dont, but it would have to be a try before you buy, before i forked out £300 or what ever they cost.
  17. I was only putting my wee bit in, as I had mentioned this subject to Medical staff, I have never used one, but my mate who has a NGRC trainers licence, swears by his, its a pity its a bit on the big side as i would have asked for a loan, to see what it was like. Regarding dog sickness , my present pup when put in the back seat was sick in 5 mins, tried him on the front, and on my knee, same result, foaming at the mouth and shaking I then decided to buy a dog carrier the one that slopes to suit your boot, thinking at least when he is sick it would be easier to clean, well that was 6 months ag
  18. I worked in Nursing in a hospital for 35 years, had many a discussion at coffee breaks with many consultants and doctors, on this subject none had much faith in magnectic therapy, if they had i would have used it.
  19. This photos been on a few times, bred the oposite way, Whippet X Bedlington. Great wee hunter.
  20. I found a wood that held a few and the burys were not big, sneaked on three times, with good results, then thought Id better ask for permission, called in and was instantly refused. wish id never bothered.
