  1. Sounds like you were in a built up area, if that's right, were the dogs leashed?
  2. Dont think it would do any harm, if you were only using a small blob, when nail trimming, a lot different to adding to food, its just common sense.
  3. I switched from NPower to Ovo last November fed up with the big 6s attitude. And it was not easy to switch it took a few phone calls, and Npower are murder to get on the phone, The switch went through, and i heard nothing from Npower, then I happened to log on to my account and found I was £900 in credit, I contacted them by email to send me my cheque as i am now with Ovo. they never replied. I then wrote them a letter, telling them i had no account with them now, and to send money, i then received a letter back from them, saying they had added my middle name to my account, my letter nev

  5. Someone gave me a bottle of Ferretone I just put a blob on their belly, they lick it for a while, and are perfectly still I sit on a outside chair with the ferret on my knee, and snip, and as said not into the quick. I use the Dog nail clippers, only takes me a few mins to do three ferts.
  6. http://www.johnnorris.co.uk/shop/ty_232-bargains/ Seeland Treestand Boots. MRP £139.99. Our Price £29.99. Save £110.
  7. Aye shooters. i had a good farm where i ferreted, a shooting syndicate moved in, paying good money, telling the farmer they didn't want me ferreting, so I lost it, twats. Im a rabbiter, I don't have the type of dog, and I like seeing Hares about, there certainly a lot scarcer, where I am, than years ago, apart from shooters, and lads with Hawks, they are being lamped by so called Dog men all year round, plus the number of Buzzards around, they must take Leverets. years ago i knew fields that always held a few hares, now nothing, There must be a lot of pressure on them.
  8. When I had pedigree Texel Sheep we would inject the Ewes to bring them all into season at the same time, it was made from pregnant Mare serum. You could then put the Tup in, and he would do the lot, meaning your Lambing would be over in a week, but you always got the odd one that returned. And hear ends todays farming lesson.
  9. All Farmers use Penicillin, if you know one, give him the money to pick a bottle up when next at his Vets, when i kept Sheep would pick up a bottle no problem.
  10. Great rabbiting Dogs, get a good one, and they will hunt like a Terrier but more zip, the ones I have seen all had a good nose, and marked burys well. The popularity of this cross is seen, that any litters are snapped up, they are sought out by Rabbiting Lads. Also if you have a good Bitch, you can put it back to the Whippet. My one ran silent during daylight and also on the lamp, but did give and odd yip when in a wood, but was not a screamer. Getting more difficult to find a good Bedlington, but the Lads on TWB site, have some good dogs. Was out a few times with my pups dam ferreting, a
  11. They don't really come up that often, ive been a member for years.
  12. I deal with Pipa on here, i bought a collar of M Dad and it stopped working, Phoned him, and he wasn't too happy, saying I must have over tightened it, which I hadn't, sent it back and he did replace.
  13. They don't catch rabbits with their ears
  14. I fed my pup raw meat and Gain, now moved to CSJ tripe complete, i found you needed a happy medium, if you feed too much meat, they wont eat the Gain my pup has now turned 12 months he is 21 inches, he is fed a handful of CSJ at lunch time, and evening 1lb raw beef and four handfuls of CSJ with veg and a teaspoon keepers mix, and clears his bowl every time.
  15. Nah, the Jill used to use but has stopped, my Hob never used it, they sleep in it
  16. I use two cat litter trays, same size, one is screwed down, in the corner where you notice they use, The second litter tray fits on top of the other. Stops them moving the trays. I use the cat litter made with wood pellets, i have a hob and Jill in the hutch, they both use the tray, and i put in four handfulls of litter, and just need to clean out the tray twice a week, just empty into a plastic supermarket bag then plop in the dustbin, takes me about 3 mins. I have a young Jill in another hutch on her own, and she also uses the tray. Purchased the trays from Willkinsons cheap as chips.
  17. Watched the programme, very sad, whole communities ripped apart, read Scargills biography interesting reading, is he now in poor health? never saw him in the media for years, Interesting when the comment was made about bringing down the Government, more or less hinting that was his main priority. The way thatcher treated the miners, more or less starving them back to work is the reason the Conservatives are now finished as a party in Scotland, and its laughable that they, along with those turncoats Liberals are now ruling us.
  18. You Lads are getting over complicated, heard it all , head lamps for cleaning out ferrets.
  19. Sorry i didn't notice that, i would not feed for a couple of days, as I said i feed round about 4pm everyday.
  20. Dont agree with that ive been ferreting 45 years sometimes I feed before i go out, but sometimes i don't, and it makes no difference work wise, they will kill fed or not, and they come out, I feed usually at 4pm and when not fed in the morning my Jills will work a bury bolting rabbits, and if they kill below, and for some reason cant dig to the rabbit, they come out, they dont lie up.
  21. Its a hallucinogenic The native Americans used it in peyote ceremonies, the Grateful Dead used it to, similar to an acid trip, peace and love.
  22. Cant be doing with this heat lamp crap, treat them rough I say.
  23. If its swollen it could be a knocked up toe, I would have it seen too. my 12 month pup was lame in the front leg, but not badly, had him at the Vets yesterday its not swollen but vet said its soft swelling in one of the toes. vet said to keep him on the leash for a week only let him do his business, then a week of walking on the lead, then give him a run to see if its still bothering him. if yours is a knocked up toe it will need to be rested, Had a Whippet x Greyhound that knocked one up, tried everything from rest to Laser treatment, nothing worked, so Vet removed toe.
