  1. Its like everything else, its down to common sense, as I said they are handy for stock training, The problem with pet owners is, they don't know how to use them, you can bring them in quickly with your hand, then click the lock on, most ive seen using them, appear not to be able to lock them, which is hard to understand its just one click. I too have been at the receiving end, when my dog was a 3 month pup was attacked by a Lakey, managed to get it off and shouted to him to bring the line in and put the stop on, he brought the dog in, but never clicked the lock on, so the dog shot out and ha

  3. Length 40 inches, width 29 inches hight 30 inches all alloy very light and well made, will take two Greyhounds fit Scudo Cit, Astra etc van £150. Pm me if interested. has middle section that separates.
  4. I used one when stock controlling pup through Sheep, and it was fine, its just being responsible, have walked the dog up a cycle path pup was fine, when seeing an approaching dog, just bring it in, and grab the lead. but i do know what you mean, as one day i was walking the dog on a short lead, on the other side of the road came a Woman with the extended lead short, but obviously not locked, her Poodle ran across the road to get to my dog, she was lucky, as its a busy road, the poodle even managed to pull her off her feet, and she fell over. Its easy to click it to stop it running, but half
  5. Heard on channel4 news their economy is 70% World Aid, and 30% from Opium, When all troops finally go, will the Taliban just take over ?
  6. NO , I would not just feed complete, I use it as mixer wit raw, but not Bakers, I use CJS, theres lots of better completes out there. Buy a decent one, and mix some raw beef mince into it, along with some shredded veg, and your pup should eat it.
  7. The first thing you would do is shout, who is in there, like above, you wouldn't just start shooting through the door, his public apology in court to her parents was a disgrace. As Ideation stated, he must have known she was not in the bed.
  8. What do you think of the trial, especially his little boy voice when answering questions, and when he says my lady. Was interesting listening to Stuart Cosgrove of Channel 4 commenting on the case, he had met him quite a few times, and never heard him once talk in this little boy pathetic voice.
  9. There all much of a same, apart from the really cheap complete, if your feeding raw so more or less using the Beta puppy as a mixer, if the pup is doing well on it, i would just carry on with that regime.
  10. Excellent mix for the Rabbiting game, Pups look in good nick, all the best with the sale, don't think you will have them long. out of interest, what lines in the Beddy?
  11. With DVDs and books its a lot easy now, than it used to be, i come from a small town, and when i was young you could count the netters on one hand, and they would show you nothing. it was more or less a closed shop, but i was lucky as one took me under his wing, and taught me working the traditional nets.
  12. Can you not source some raw Chicken or Beef? I feed mine raw Beef, mixed with CSJ complete tripe, and veg. Once a week he gets fish, I source this from the out of date section at the supermarket, I also pick up Hearts there, the Beef is from a Knackery. You need to get away from the likes of Bakers and Pedigree Chum,
  13. My Whippet when a pup, had the runs, and my Vet recommended I feed cooked Chicken, which I did, and medication, but I cant remember what it was, if its a pup they can loose condition really quick, if its brown smelly runs, maybe better to have it checked out. What age is the dog? what were you feeding it on, before the Bakers?
  14. I use poke nets a lot, none of mine have lead cord, you don't need it, set the net right, and it will catch, like Bob says you are only adding unnecessary weight.
  15. Put it on some cooked Chicken, till the scoots stop, then if you are going to keep it on Complete, go for the better stuff, like Gain. I would never feed a dog Bakers. even better feed raw, with a 20% protein complete.
  16. Yer a busy Man Bill, that net should catch a few.
  17. One of my Jills has just come in, and the other last year kit, no sign yet.
  18. You lot need to listen to Strawberry Fields Forever, when it came out, nothing could touch it, way ahead of its time, as was the album Sgt Pepper. Next week im off to see The Bootleg Beatles, looking forward to it. Forget all the myths, regarding C&W singers doing time, the only one that really did bird was Mere Haggard.
  19. I think it would snap, don't like putting a downer on your idea , but really don't see the point.
  20. I had a Whippet x Bedlington who lived with our Cat, cant say they loved each other, but she never bothered it, she was different with Ferals, she would take them out, but in a public place, or built up area, she would be on the lead. always amazes me on here time and time again lads with lurchers off the leash on built up areas, and its never their fault, the cat just appeared. Im no cat lover, but they are someones pet.
  21. Have used both, both nets purse easily, makes no difference, prefer rings meself
  22. Its easy to breed first cross Collie X Greyhounds, especially where I come from, there's lots of good leggy Collies, that work every day, I have seen some cracking dogs bred out of good working collies, The problem is the Greyhound, the lad that bred them, that I knew would find a Greyhound Bitch from the local flapping track, he always used a stayer, not sprinters. But not everyone would like to keep a greyhound Bitch, so after having the litter what happens to the Bitch? Which is why Hancock will always sell pups, there appears to be no waiting, there's always a Litter available, or if n
