  1. Well chuffed, finished th ebeating season yesterday, which also ment that I got permission I had always just been poaching, never had any bother from farmers etc. That was until the gamekeeper caught us ferreting to cut a long story short he said come beating for us and you can have as much land as you want (more or less, about 900 acres ) Turns out hes a nice guy and yep, I got my permission. I cant wait to go out and do abit of ferreting, maybe buy a few traps. Im hoping if I carry on the beating he might let us do abit of shooting, fingers crossed. Might be going fe

Maybe, just maybe, the title of this thread & the first post of From now on anyone using text talk on the forum will automatically have the contents changed to [bANNED TEXT] might give you some sort of clue Yes I know that, but what text talk is banned? Some words are abreviated but not text talk.

What are the banned words Ian? Just so we can spare looking a dick!
  5. What the fecks up with the one at the top?
  6. I went today, didnt get any! They wernt bolting at all, to windy. luckly my Jills didnt kill so I had it easy. We even saw about 4 Rabbits run into a Warren, netted up and non bolted. Never mind, was nice to be out.
  7. A staffy like the ones in Stabs pics. I would love to do some sort of police work with dogs, Maybe AmBulls something abit different. Dont know to be honest, to many choices
  8. I like mine, It is spot on over the top of the ferts, but not great depth (not to bad though). Its also not great at tracking the ferret through the warren, fine when the ferret has stopped moving though.
  9. My 2 are geting 3 quarter lambs heart a day at the moment, as the butchers are doing them cheap. I have never been told to be honest how much you 'should' feed them. At the end of the day you know your animals, once you have your ferrets abit longer you should start to tell how much and what she likes etc. Its abit like the guidelines on the back of a pack of dog food, I would never follow them. What are you feeding them?
  10. No, not really, You have a high power rifle and a lion backed agaisnt a fence IMO you dont need much guts for that. What pricks
  11. Maybe try in woodland, alot less breezey there
  12. Do you know weather it will fit a Supersport?
  13. Hi, can you tell me weather spun nylon nets need drying after use? Just bought 20 to try out, what do you guys think of them?
  14. Thanks all sorted out, oh and I must have left the quote on (have edited it)
  15. Ian or one of the Mods, Has the posting lay out changed or have I clicked some funny setting? Instead of just reading posts I have to click a little link to read them (rather annoying I find lol)
  16. Whats wrong with flea spray? clues in the name ferreting king. You can do what you want, But Personally I would rather apy a couple of quid more and not put shite on my ferrets, same as the vaselline thing I dont really see the point. I use 'Bob martin', works well they are normally off very quick. I find it easier to spray it all over a rubber glove first then rubb over the ferts, specially handy in funny spots like behind ears (with is where I find the most)
  17. I reckon I could 'try' Badger or Fo xif ti was served to me but the skinning at gutting would be a line to far thanks lol.

    Ferret

Nice fert, looks like a nice set up (hutch) got any pics of that?
  19. Yeh, Dont worry I did realise that, I been lookign at a few sites and all state the mk6 is for Mink and Rabbit. Blimy, I feckin realised that too I meen Im only 16 and dont earn, so I can only afford 3 maximum traps for now, So I know I wont exactly been making much a 'dent' in the population, but as I said at the start, I got to start somewhere. If I get on well and enjoy it I may buy a few more. I like the look of the 'Bodygripper' traps Magnum ones, the look quite good.
  20. Nice dog, looks heavy for the breeding? might just be picture
  21. Hi, thanks for this. Although I Dont quite understand that though. Do you just put it into a rabbit hole? What do you have to scrap out? Thanks, Josh
  22. Very nice dog, No, defo isnt as racy as that. Im hoping to take her beating this weekend, do you think this would be ok? I dont intend to 'work' her, just to let her experiance, gun shots, dead things etc. I dont want to take her to young, but I dont see any harm in taking her now? So what you think?
