Hi, Im thinking of getting a couple of quickset 50 yard nets for the up coming ferreting season, If I do I will also use them at night :ph34r: One thing I dont understand, say If I was going to do a hedge row at night. I set the net along the hedge row. Rabbits come out, and I push them into the net? But how do the Rabbits get past the nets to get into the field? Probably a silly question lo, just dont understand. H&J

I believe its more to do with it being so swollen, its very susseptable to infection. Clean hutch, clean Ferrets.... I personally would always take them out, just to save any possible problems.

How long do your ferrets live on average? Are thin ferrets better in some way? I doubt half a slice of bread soaked in milk fed every other day is even enough to maintain a ferrets body weight, so my guess is his ferrets die within the year , its not even enough to keep ya body & soul going is it. its pretty clearly a neglect case in my eyes, pityfull existence they live right now Ferretlove SHUT UP!! As you say your guessing!! Did I not just say i have a 9 year old ferret here fed on bred and milk all his life!! And ARTEMIS you dont have a clue so you shut up too AHH FERRE

Ah nice work You have any problems with Babys? Digging? You using a Hob or Jill? Looks like a Hob, cant see very well though.

No, but you have to put them on so god damn tight that there eyes pop out Thats the main problem with the mk3, proper crap collars. I havent actually tried it yet, but next season Im going to thread on leather Ferret collars onto the reciever, hopefully that will make them abit more secure.

Im going to give my box a good refurbish soon, Tommorow hopefully. Sand it down and give it a good varnishing. It must be about 20 years old, it was my Dads and he was given it, so god knows how old it is. Does anyone know where I can get a decent strap for it? It had car seat belt on before, which lasted last season but it wasnt very comfy A good padded strap is what I need. Ive looked on the net but I cant find anything.

The mark 3 is good, if you get used to using it. The depth can be abit dodgy at times, But like I said if you get to know how to use it then its very accurate over the top of the Ferret. The noise does piss me off, sometimes I swear its singing tunes to me

You get what you pay for, and you dont get much for £10 Maybe Im just fussy but walk a few miles on rough terrain and your feet will be feeling it big time EDIT> Rew, your getting good at these long threads!

How is it possible to keep 11 dogs fit and worked? I would struggle with more than 2!! I got one old dog, and a Pup. Hopefully have a Lucher sometime next year.......

Dont laugh if this is a silly question, is that legal in England? I know taking hares is (saw it on the F-word ) So is deer legal?
