  1. Just picked her up today. Settled in really well so far, brainy wee thing. What do you think of her? atb HJ
  2. There is a litter in the countrymans 5/8th grey 2/8th whippet 1/8th collie £150 in south wales.
  3. no joke, 2 cows on their arses/backs lying down. Cow tipping is proven bullshit cows sleep lying down anyway?
  4. I think its a load of shit about people puting them down there trousers in the olden days? They used to shave bears and dress them in womans clothes, although probably quite funny also very cruel and shouldnt be done lol. You obviously like your ferrets as youve built them all that stuff but you look like a bunch of retarded inbreds throwing them around like rags and stuffing them down your trousers like toys. Either treat them with abit of respect or get yourself a pet snail, judging by the video you would probably share a similar iq.
  5. Thanks alot everyone very quick and helpful replys.
  6. Hello, my old maths teachers would be ashamed of me! Ive seen a litter of pups that I am interested in but couldnt work out the breeding. The dam and sires breeding is: sire: 3/4 grey 1/4 collie dam: 1/2 whippet 1/4 collie 1/4 grey Hope you can help, would really appretiate it HJ
  7. Jusr wondering how that litter of GSD x Greys turned out was probs a couple of years back now, Think they were bred by 'heart of wales' or similar to that name. Remember reading about one in the countrymans. ATB, HJ
  8. Them gloves with the little slits on so you can fold them back look good but Ive never found them all that good. You want more then the very tip of your finger on the trigger and the part thats folded back sticks out in the trigger guard. You dont really gain anything folding the fingers back and youve got holes in them so there not waterproof.
  9. Get some macwet shooting gloves, not realtree though. They are really snug fitting, come in loads of sizes but they are not really ultra warm gloves but will take the chill off etc. I hate wearing most gloves but i can wear these easily without noticing ive got them on.
  10. Just mix the water 50/50 with anti freeze. lol. Good point but will be good for 6 months of the year when they drink the most (as I feed dry in summer)
  11. Just bought one, look really good.
  12. I couldnt do it as I know absolutely nothing about electrics or anything like that. But you wouldnt have thought something similar to a mk1 would be really hard to produce if you were in the know? I wonder whether Deben have got a good patent on them thats why no one else has released them?
  13. Its clearly a fake. ...Its a meat hook ffs not even a fishing hook. ...There is no blood, bruising or marks around the holes. ...The person holding it is pulling the dogs head back to show the whites of its eyes to make the dog look scared and more dramatic. ...There are no Barbs on the hooks, the dog would just get off in seconds as any angler knows. ...No shark fishermen is going to use barbless hooks. ...The hooks are wayyyy to small for a bait that size and for catching and landing sharks. ...Why would you bother going to the trouble of gettong hold of a large supply of dogs
  14. One word, bollocks. However I can't be arsed going over the same shite again, I don't understand the whole 'Lets hang someone because they don't use a locator' thing that goes on on this site, It's one of the reasons I don't frequent the ferreting section as much these days. It doesn't happen on other sites, & I'd rather discuss ferreting else where TBH. i think i'll go back. Good, there is enough yes men who are scared of having an opinion on here as it is.

    Cider

Not keen on apple ciders, but kopperberg pear cider is very nice, the best of all the pear ciders imo.
  16. What if you dig down 4 foot to a coin lol?! you would still need a some kind of collar with metal. Just get a finder or dont, you will waste more money fecking about trying to come up with something that wont work than you would just buying a ferret finder. plus you'd look abit of a tit lol. cant imagine metal detectors are that cheap are they? atb, HJ
  17. Ive done it with and without finders but I wouldnt go without one now, they just make things so much easier and quicker. If most of the burys you work are small and open i.e. middle if fields ect then you could probably get away without one although you wont be as succesful as you cant get the rabbits killed below. If your doing hedges, woodland, bramble patches ect then I would never do these without a finder. Its not just handy for digging, if your working big sets its re assuring to be able to keep checking to make sure none have slipped out and away. Either way I would get one, but
  18. Has anyone noticed the robbing b*****ds at deben have raised the prices of ferret collars by 20 quid, feck sake talk about subtle Unless I am going mad and they have always been £65?! pretty sure they used to be £45 HJ.
  19. Nice fish, very silver. Most the barbel in my local river are alot more golden brown.

    Radio 2

They had a good debate on LBC radio about the hunting act a few weeks ago, the general gist was pro hunting too.
  21. Has the terrier been broken to ferrets? If not I wouldnt go near it. Even if its ok with them around the house remember when its got rabbits on its mind and all exited they can turn. If its been brought up with them then you shouldnt have a problem. Well done, It gets better further into the season too. HJ
  22. Yes thats the one Y.I.S Leeview Ive got that book, havent really got round to reading it. Is it any good? worth reading? ATB, HJ 'out of the shadows' by dominic negus is a very good book, actually has a point to it rather than 'i knocked the shit out of him' storys though some other 'hardmen' books.
  23. They are limited in use as you will get no indication if a fish takes on the drop or moves upwards with bait ect. Shoting up the line is needed for bait presentation and indication.
