  1. Never brought one with me but one of my permissions has full time gardeners in the week and theres allway a few wheel barrows about so have used them to hump the catch back at the end of the day. Doubt its worth bringing one, would be ok if ifs quite flat grassy land but if its hilly, sedge grass, woodland etc then I think its easier to carry it.
  2. they will be fine mate like they would in the wild but do not think that because the mother and father are good the young will to does not work like that if it di no m=one would have good and bad ferrets Yeah I know that but you've got to start somewhere. 4. Hello. I am looking to breed my best hob this year as he is a really good ferret, literally from his very first outing at 20 weeks he has been the best out of my ferrets and most of my mates. Ive only got 2 Jills and one isnt great but the other jill, his sister, who although started slow is starting to come good. I didnt breed them but used to own the mum. I would have had some kits this year from the same breeding but the mum jill has died. So I definitly want a couple of kits from him but not is they are going to be short arms and banjo's! Has anyone bred brother sister ferrets? how did the
  5. The bulldogs are great. I managed to snap the shaft off mine trying to bash concrete off (long story lol) Have put a new shaft on it thats got a D handle and is much longer than the original T handle. I like the spade even more now with the new shaft, much easier if you have to dig a little deeper.
  6. Thanks alot everyone. To be honest the type I got from the pet shop were the guillotine type and I didnt find them any good but they were probs a duff set. Also have read that if you soak the nails first i.e. bathing them then they get alot softer and easier to trim. Ive been back and got a pair like tote's but havent tried them yet. atb H&J

  8. Look for a well reared healthy litter first rather than looking for the 'cheap as chips' option.
  9. Hello, I brought a dog nail clipper from a pet shop today got home tried to use it and the thing is shit, wants to bend the nail nore than clip it. Its the first time Ive cut their nails myself so I dont want to do it badly with shit clippers. What sort of clippers would you recomend? Ive got tin snips, pliers etc but didnt want to use incase they could do damage etc. ATB H&J
  10. Sorry but how the hell is there any hipocracy in saying its cruel? There is a huge difference in dealing with pests in as quick and humane way as posible and burning a hole through a bears nose and making it dance for entertainment and money. Anyone who thinks these two things are linked in anyway shouldnt be on this website... Things like whaling etc although I wouldnt fancy it myself I can understand as it supplies meat, 'medicines' etc and goes back a along way into thier culture. Dancing bears were started as a money making tourist attraction so its hardly a culture or way of life i

  15. Last season 20-25 average, this season averaging 5-10 if lucky. Very annoying when you wait all summer and theres not much about. One permission last year was littered with rabbits, litterally infested. This year there is still a few but not large numbers. Havent seen any mixy there either, I was wondering about that RHD? if that could have done it? atb, hj
