He is lucky he was born in the USA, He could have been one of the 1.5 million killed Vietnamese that were unfortunate enough to have been born in Vietnam. As far as I know he failed his medical, he did not refuse to go. I wouldn't have a problem with him even if he did refuse, maybe he was bright enough to see what it was.

Have you thought about putting a few adverts around shops local to you advertising gardening? Think you would be surprised how much interest you may get. A lot of people want say 4 hours a fortnight to keep there gardens tidy and ticking over. Can charge a minimum of £13 an hour. I find I get quite a lot of work as some people don't want anything too formal i.e. a big garden maintenance company with lots of employees. Less intimidating to have a single guy they get to know and trust come every now and again. Don't need that many regular jobs to keep busy. Its got to beat getting up at 3am to c

Bla bla bla this shits been said for years. Were your parents calling you the hard working generation? Do you honestly think generations and generations before you haven't also been saying this? It's up there on the cliché level of 'kids have no respect these days' and 'all the old timers are dying out' I'm 21 and have been self employed since I was 19, with a gardening business. wanting to grow a hedge so question is...............

You may know but when you plant it you're best to plant them in a MWMW pattern if that makes sense. Zig Zag, it will make the hedge thicker and denser when its mature. -
Thinking of getting myself an acoustic guitar and having a few lessons. I had a few lessons when I was younger but my heart was never in it, my dad was more keen for me to play than I was . Anyway, it seems more appealing now for some reason. Anyone here play? Any general advice or thoughts? HJ

What about Boots the chemist? B&Q? or maybe even Tesco's sell these 'garddogs' now.... FFS is you cant work out how to find a decent dog to buy, that should maybe tell you something A dog, especially a guard dog I imagine it isn't the best idea to just go and buy the first thing you see. and you should never buy a dog 'fasted' they're a lot better when they have been well fed

Enjoyed the euro's but glad its over now. Looking forward to the prem starting again. Nice to have Southampton and West ham back too, two clubs who will always seem like top league teams to me.

No they aren't. A clock that size would look a lot better with the numbers the normal way, not big ben style. Really nice clock but looks silly with the numbers like that. It Constructive criticism

Ditch, Jimbob sweeney (lol), Chief, Woodga, peg&gun, OldTrapCollector, Darcy, TheBigFish, Chalkwarren + I'm sure many more. I know a few of them are still members but posts seem to be rare. I still enjoy the site but it definitely isn't what it was a few years back.
