It was a great laugh today nigel, and the dogs did well, was chuffed to bits with Tod as hes not been out for nearly a month other than ratting, he was really kean and filled the bag, dispite the hard conditions, was funny when harry was up to his waste in snow as we all were at some point in the morning. one of Tods catc

well had an invite off Nigel to have a trip out, i had Young Dodger and Nigel had Gypsy. Nigel had arrange to meet the keepers to show him more of the permission he could now go on the shoot has finished and its immense and goes for miles with plenty of rabbits to be had. before we mwt the keepers we did a few lower gasing fields where we bolted for the dogs, gyp picked a couple of sitters up and we caught 5 bolters, and some real healthy rabbits got away for next time. we then moved to where we were meeting the keepers, Dodger piked up a good rabbit in the reeds from its seat, so

well tonight was fantastic. I was in the pub last night and a chicken farmer I know well said he had a few rats in a poultry shed that he wanted rid of before he refilled the cabin so of course I have obliged. Tod has only ever seen odd rats and never had a great deal of confidence an Young Dodger has never seen one so we were up for a challange. I went round with 1 ferret and my 2 whippets, as we walked in the cabin which housed 6000 birds up until last night we could see there were a few milling about, both dogs spoted one and give a half harted chase and it got away, the farmer said

well woke this morning and the weather was clear and calm so I grabbed the ferrets, whippets and dragged the mrs along to try and get some snaps. we headed to a place in Leeds, the first place we walked to is on an old railway and I new there was a small warren with 4-5 holes last season which held a few, when we reached it, there were only 2 holes, and they were far bigger fresh excavation with alot of fox s**t out side the holes and no sign of rabbits, I thought better of it just case, we then head over the field which is alot greener than last time wse were there, there is a small 2

THE BLUE DOG 'DODGER' IS COMING UP 11 MONTHS SO JUST STARTING TO DO A BIT EVERY OTHER WEEK OR SO, AND THE BLUE BITCH IS MY MATES, BRED BY MIKE BROWN AND I THINK SHE IS ABOUT 2-3 BUT NOT 100% TOM -
cheers for the day out Nigel it was a top day we had some cracking runs and little Dodger did me proud, marking catching and retrieving , his marking was good but that gypsy of yours is finominal, she get the nose down tail wags and out comes the bunny, we netted the first set where we cought 2 really bi rabbits then the rest were maily caught by the dog pushing the out of read beds, although there was a bit of mixie about nothing to bad but it ceratinly give dodger some confidence. the total was a bag of 13 although we seen alot more. well heres some pics from today.

had a trip out on the 12th in the moring on a big farm about an hour away, the plan was to give the young ferrets a whirl on some small sets, and also try out the my new mk3m ferret finder with the mk3m collars, the farmer informed me they were out a few weeks ago on the lamp and shot approx 150 rabbits, as they were reseeding, so i was abit disapointed to say the least, but we carried on regardless, , the fist one i did, there was a big tree in the middle of a corn fiels that just been seeded, so both dogs were marking and there was only one hole so bang the jill in and had a few runs m
