  1. Not an easy one,but here goes, Your dog is 1/4(2/8th)BULL,3/8TH SALUKI and 3/8TH GREYHOUND.
  2. You can run/use as many dogs as you want on rabbits and rats, they are the only exemptions to the hunting act,as long as it`s for pest control and you have consent of the landowner. There are also some packs of rabbiting hounds about to(don`t think they`d be fit for the table). So you can use more than one dog on rabbits.I`ll stick to one or two though.
  3. Should be a cracking dog mate.Personally I like big strong lurchers, make good allround dogs.Out of interest, how tall is Saxon to the shoulders?

  5. Good result,I like gingers.I`ve had 5 out of 9 twice in the last month which I`m a bit disappointed with.I keep Pyles.
  6. There are two types of Old English Game(OEG),Oxford and Carlisle. The Oxford OEG were used for cockfighting before it became banned in 1849.The Oxford OEG has an upright apearance and mature cocks should not be kept together as they will fight to the death.Carlisle OEG have a more horizontal back and are show birds.Oxford OEG come in about 27 different colours and are a pleasure to keep and the hens are quite good layers too.

  12. You need to register with Trading Standards that you want to keep pigs, they will give you your herd number to go with the holding number of your land. They will send you all the paperwork explaining everything you need to do.Basically you need to fill a movement form(in triplicate) when you sell a pig or take one in to be slaughtered plus another form(you keep a copy, trading standards has one and the slaughterer etc). You need to get eartags with your herd number and individual number on eg your first pig`s eartag will have your herd number on one side and 0001 on the other. You can purchase the

  16. A lad I know has one and got it from Hancocks. The lad has had lurchers all his life and really rates his beardie x greyhound as a superb rabbiting dog and a very intelligent hunter. He uses it mainly for lamping and ferreting. He did tell me that he was too slow for long ears though. The 1st x beardie/greyhound has a very good coat also.
  17. You should worm her 2 weeks before she`s due,it`ll reduce the worms in the pups.Good luck.
  18. I feel for you mate.I keep game fowl myself.A good guard dog would help you to keep the scum away.

  21. These labs are nothing but trouble, what`s the matter with them?
  22. I live on a smallholding and for some weeks noticed a big fat chocolate labrador coming down the driveway on a regular basis(off lead and usupervised). The lab became more nosy every day staying around longer and really pissing my beasts off, despite me shouting at him to f--k off.The next day I`d just finished feeding my dogs when I heard loud screaming noises coming from my chickens. To my horror I saw the fat lab terrorizing some of my chickens.Enough is enough I thought as I let out my beddy greyhound/wheaten greyhound who torpedoed the lab instantly.Ten minutes later I was still struggling t
  23. Make a small barrier accross his kennel door eg a couple of planks of wood on top of each other, which he can easily jump over to get out, then raise the height every few days. He`ll very quickly learn to jump and will do fences in no time.
